Looking Back:
May already has a good reason to leave home (see the previous comic) now Brendan needs one as well. When you think about it, going on a pokémon journey is a huge thing, it's not like going to summer camp for a couple of weeks or anything like that. You could be gone for months or even years. Plus you're constantly on the move and basically living out of a backpack the whole time (unless there's some hidden box on the PC that you can store clothes and stuff in). Anyway, considering Brendan's current situation, it's no wonder that he'd want to leave. As we've already seen, his mom pretty much ignores him and he's in a small town with nothing to do. On top of that, his only friend is going to be leaving so there's really no reason for Brendan to hang around in Littleroot. |
