#174 It's a useless feature!
First Comic Previous Comic Next Comic Today's Comic
Looking Back:
To spice up the pokédex strips, I decided to show off some of its features, one of which is the ability to listen to the pokémon's cry. Best not to get me started on pokémon cries, as the fact that they're still original Gameboy style gibberish sounds, even in the DS and Wii games, is a pet peeve of mine.
You may notice that this is the first strip to use colored text for Brendan and May's speech. I decided that, in the pokédex strips, it wasn't always obvious who was talking. Colored text seemed like an obvious solution. However, it would be a little longer before I started using the colors in every strip.
Finally, in regards to the pokédex entry itself, this one, along with most of the others, are based on the actual pokédex text from the games.
