| Looking Back: The concept of pokémon evolving into new forms when they get strong enough, or fulfill other conditions, is central to the Pokémon games. Though, unlike in the scientific theory, or even compared to a butterfly's metamorphosis, it takes place very quickly. This is the first evolution in the comic and, while I've tweaked it a little over the years, I've stuck relatively close to this original effect. |
