Looking Back:
This popped out at me right away. How many mothers send strange guys they just met up to their daughter's rooms completely unsupervised? Actually Mrs. Birch isn't really such a bad mother, she's just, distracted, at the moment. If you've read the cast page you'd know that she's addicted to soap operas and pretty much dead to the world when she's watching them. She doesn't actually send lots of guys to May's room, she just isn't really paying much attention to what she's saying. That also explains the super corny soap opera style dialogue coming from the TV. Or at least my idea of what an extra cheesy soap opera is like, I've never actually watched one. |
