Looking Back:
Hmm... When you compare the sizes of the desk, stairway, characters, etc, the scale doesn't really look right but, once again, that's the way things are in the game. As for May's little intro speech, I copied that word for word from the game. Sappy ain't it? On a somewhat related note, in the actual game you can choose to play either Brendan or May. The one you don't play is the Birch. In other words, if you play as May, Brendan will be Professor Birch's kid. If I remember right, the dialogue when you're playing May is a bit less cheesy.
One last comment. Notice how all the clocks so far have shown the same time? My bad. That's the only clock sprite I had and I never really thought about changing it back then. Another one of those little details I've gotten better with as the comic went on.
