| Looking Back: As much as I like the motion blurs, I wasn't about to make a different one for every single random trainer. So only important characters get them. I guess the regular random trainers can't afford to hire machoke to follow them around with motion blur boards. May doesn't have to put it so bluntly though. Poor bug catcher... Looking at this strip now, I have to say that the layout is horrible. Trying to squeeze Brendan, May, and the trainer in a single panel at that size was a really bad idea. They're all cramped together with no space between them for the pokémon battle, or even for wurmple to come out of its pokéball. Scene layout is just one of the many things I've improved in PV over the years. |
