#125 Tackle!

Looking Back:
The battles during the early parts of Pokémon games are rather on the boring side, especially if you're a long time fan of the series. Early pokémon tend to start out with only two moves. These moves are usually tackle or scratch and either growl, tail whip or sand attack. Winning these battles requires little more than repeating your single attack move over and over. Even in an even match, the enemy will eventually waste a turn using their weak stat reducing move, which in no way makes up for the damage they're not inflicting that round, allowing you an easy win. I suppose it's fine for beginners, but I certainly look forward when the pokémon start learning a wider assortment of moves.
