| Looking Back: After Brendan's screw up back in the lab during their battle with Xain and Cali, May figures it would be a good idea ensure that it doesn't happen again. Brendan's still a pretty new trainer but a few minutes of throwing practice should whip him into shape, right? Well, that's what you'd think. I mean, how hard can it be to throw a ball at a large unmoving target? Unfortunately, Brendan just can't seem to get it. Not only is he missing the sign, he's very nearly hitting May, the one thing he really shouldn't be throwing anywhere near. Actually, the idea for this comic came from an old Inspector Gadget cartoon. Gadget was practicing with a new weapon when the Chief shows up to give him a mission. His hiding place? Inside Gadget's target. When asked the reason behind his choice, he responsed that it seemed like the safest place. Which, judging by Gadget's aim, it probably was. |
