#76 It does something?!?

Looking Back:
In a real life situation, pokémon battling would bit a lot harder if you didn't have any HP gauges to look at. I mean, sure you could guess at how weak a pokémon was just by looking but it wouldn't be nearly as exact. And there's certainly no way you could know what its level was without some sort of gizmo. And it does seems like the pokédex should have some useful features built in. I mean, the entries for caught pokémon are nice and all but the only really useful aspect is the location map and in most situations you won't even need that anyway. The Pokémon Adventures manga also shows the pokédex used as a stat checker. So, in Pebble Version, everyone with a pokédex use it to keep an eye on the stats of their pokémon and the pokémon they're fighting with readouts that are extremely similar to what you'd see in the game. People without pokédexs use various types of pokégear such as watches, PDA type devices, and the like to access the same information. However, those devices lack the pokédex's encyclopedia style functionality and do little else besides show the pokémons' stats and moves.
