If Xain is getting a pokédex than he must have a pokémon so May decides it's time to settle things pokémon trainer style. After all, why resort to a crude fist fight when you can force cute little creatures to fight each other instead? Now that everyone has been introduced, it's time for the rival pairs to have their first battle before setting off on their journey. Naturally Birch would be hesitant about have a pokémon battle in his lab. I mean would you really want creatures that can burn, zap, drench, smash, and otherwise damage objects of all types fighting anywhere in your house, much less a room full of expensive equipment and valuable research data? But May does sorta have a point. At their current levels, their pokémon wouldn't be able to do much besides mess the place up a bit and, the way the lab looks now, it probably wouldn't make that much of a difference. |
