Looking Back:
My use of italics in Pebble Version strips has been a little inconsistent. There was at least one time I used them to show a character's thoughts but in this strip and at least most (if not all) the ones after it, the italics are there to show that the speaker is whispering, saying something under their breath, or the like.
I'm sure most of us have had an experience like this before where we're in the middle of something and someone makes us put it down and go over to where they are to help them, only for them to say that they figured it out themselves or forget what was so important. For those of you who have been lucky enough to avoid the experience, it's very annoying.
