Looking Back:
In a lot of ways, it would make more sense for Brendan and May to take turns and challenge each gym leader one on one. But that would slow down the comic and lead to a lot of repetition. And the gym leaders are supposed to be elite trainers so I figured that could be shown, at least somewhat, by having them fight both Brendan and May at the same time. It also let me do some fancy stuff with the motion blurs. |
