Looking Back:
Cascoon clearly isn't too happy about what happened. Though, now that I think about it, you have to wonder just how much pokémon know about what's going on outside of their pokéballs. In the Adventures manga, they seem to be able to see and hear outside. Though I don't recall the anime ever showing anything like that (at least not up to the point where I stopped watching). And I don't remember the games ever addressing the issue either. Since Pebble Version is loosely inspired by Adventures in addition to the games, I suppose I'll go with that approach and say that the pokémon can see and hear what's happening outside, at least somewhat.
