| Looking Back: It's pretty much a given that, in a game world, everything revolves around the player character. There are a handful of exceptions, but they're mostly multiplayer games. Not having to worry about the world moving on without you frees you up to fritter the time away fighting random battles and exploring every single building in sight instead of actually helping people, saving the world, or whatever else you should be doing. |
