#255 No need to hurry

Looking Back:
While there are expectations, in RPGs (and video games in general) you tend to have all the time you need. Are you supposed to meet with someone across town? Catch an escaping criminal? Save someone from a burning house? Stop a giant meteor from destroying the world? Don't worry about it. You've got plenty of time to check your equipment, run to the store for supplies, get a good night's sleep, try and catch a record breaking fish, travel around the world, or whatever else you feel like doing. After all, you're the hero. You friend will wait for you as long as necessary, and so will the thief. That burning house? It can't possibly burn down without you in it, that'd be boring. And, no matter how menacing that meteor looks, it'll just hang there until you get around to dealing with it. At least so long as there's no countdown timer. If one of those appears, you should probably save that fishing trip and card game tournament until later. Pokémon, however, is timer free so you've got all the time in the world.
