Looking Back:
If you've played the game, this is a very obvious joke. Basically, that guy is there to prevent the player from going down that route before he gets the pokédex. He blocks it so he can sketch the rare pokémon tracks he found but then when you come back later he steps aside, revealing that they were actually his own footprints. The choice of Nikes in particular for this strip is because they're the most well known brand of shoe. Gotta wonder how that guy got pokémon tracks mixed up with shoe prints though. Maybe he needs new glasses... |
