Anime and manga just don't fit in that list, because it's more of a media-type thing, where you can find in America, too. The unique parts of Japan are very practical and deserve a spot as one of the reasons why you should go to Japan. Anime and video games aren't that unique in Japan, because you can find lots of manga and play video games right here in the US.
All I'm saying is, when you go to a country, especially someplace like Japan, you should consider the wonderful moments you have in that country that you don't have here in the US, or wherever you live. Anybody can enjoy video games and anime in their household, and the trip to Japan probably wouldn't be worth as much if you only buy a couple novels from the Japanese bookstore and hang out in your hotel room reading it. It should only be a side-activity.
I love anime, but I also love travelling. If I ever do go back to Japan by myself, I could probably buy a few volumes from the bookstore and then pay a visit to someplace awesome, like the Feudalism Museum.
((Sorry Josiah if you're taking this too personally. I don't mean to be too harsh or anything like that.))
