Well, there are some practical and necessary interests in Japan such as the landmarks and landforms, especially Mt. Everest and the Tokyo Tower, and these practical interests also include the Buddhist Temples and the many museums throughout Japan.

Anime and manga just don't fit in that list, because it's more of a media-type thing, where you can find in America, too. The unique parts of Japan are very practical and deserve a spot as one of the reasons why you should go to Japan. Anime and video games aren't that unique in Japan, because you can find lots of manga and play video games right here in the US.

All I'm saying is, when you go to a country, especially someplace like Japan, you should consider the wonderful moments you have in that country that you don't have here in the US, or wherever you live. Anybody can enjoy video games and anime in their household, and the trip to Japan probably wouldn't be worth as much if you only buy a couple novels from the Japanese bookstore and hang out in your hotel room reading it. It should only be a side-activity.

I love anime, but I also love travelling. If I ever do go back to Japan by myself, I could probably buy a few volumes from the bookstore and then pay a visit to someplace awesome, like the Feudalism Museum. :-)

((Sorry Josiah if you're taking this too personally. I don't mean to be too harsh or anything like that.))

You mean Mt Fuji, Everest is nowhere near Japan.

And yes, as I've already said many times, thereLs tons of great things to see and do in Japan that have nothing to do with anime, manga, or games. BUT, that doesn't mean that people who go there just for anime, manga, or games are wasting their time. Maybe they want to see the area where their favorite shows are supposed to take palce. Maybe they want to see Tokyo Tower in person or visit a real Shinto shrine. And, even if they only go for shopping, I spent enough time in Akihabara to say that there's huge amounts of anime, manga, and game related stuff that's pretty much impossible to get outside of Japan.

And for the record, I'm not taking this personally. If you looked through ny travelogue, you'd see that I did tons of exploring and sightseeing when I lived in Japan, most of which had nothing to do with anime, manga, or games. I just don't like you calling people low lifes or losers because their main interest in Japan is due to amine of games. Different people are interested in different things and have different priorities which in no way makes them any better or worse. Get over it.

Of course, if your past posts are any indication, you're just going to ignore most of what I said and keep repeating the same freaking thing and hinting that I'm out to get you. Sorry to do this, but I'm giving you an OFFICIAL WARNING for you continued insistence on insulting people who don't agree with you, not to mention attacking other forum members in your PMs to me. Fair warning, if you keep going on like this in this or other threads and can't ever bribg yourself to admit that you might actually be in the wrong inthese situations (as oppossed to whining about how we're all just ganging up on you cause you're new) you're going to get more warnings and may even be banned eventually.

Well, in that last post I didn't find any sign of whining or rudeness. But since you put it that way, all I'm gonna say is:

I'm doing my homework on Everest right now, I must've confused it with Fuji.

Don't worry Stormer, this has nothing to do with you. But if you want to talk about Brawl, please do it in the Brawl thread, not here.

WS, your last post wasn't too bad. The warning was more for your general attitude throughout the thread (meant to post it earlier, but forgot). While you were wrong about traveling to Japan just for anime or game reasons being pointless, as I went into in my last post, that post was the closest you've come to a respectful logical arguement. And that's really all we've been getting at. There's nothing wrong with voicing your opinion, but if there's something or someone you don't you need to present your case logically and respectfully. And, if others present strong arguements that go against what you said, you should respectfully listen to and consider their opinions. Who knows, you might realize that they're right afterall. That's the way we all try to do things here. If you can figure that out, or at least steer clear of these types of threads until you do, you'll do fine.

I'm just gonna state my opinion about this real quick and leave, because I have a tendency to stick my foot into my mouth.

About the original topic, yes it is sad that someone married a person who is not real, but what are you going to do?

And about WS' behavior, I have to say this. Please lighten up. Just as a point, I'm half Mexican and I don't really mind any jokes or issues about any other Mexicans. I also want to go to England because I like their TV shows and history, but mainly their shows. Doctor Who, Top Gear, ect. I don't think Shauni minds if I go there just because of that. If you want to continue this issue with me, please PM me because I don't want this to turn into a public spectacle.

Honestly, WS, things like the nerd gamer marrying the video game, shouldn't make you feel threatened, or make you feel like your ethnicity has been insulted. Perhaps there's something else that's the source of these feelings? Something closer to you?

And here's my opinion on this video game marriage thing. It's just a really obsessed person who's crossed the border between fantasy and reality. I wish it weren't true but there are many crazy people like this. One day, though, I guarantee that he'll realize the absurdity of it, and he'll proceed to feel like he's wasted his life (because he has).

((to avoid more controversy about the race issue, which I've already said was off-topic, I won't say anything about it neither will I ever mention it again.))

Yes, I know there's nothing I can do about it and it's a really lame relationship. From the way St0rmer said it, that's probably how he could be feeling these days. For example, he could probably find out that a million other Love Plus players are also married to this character. Or the batteries could die and his save data is deleted, what does this mean for him?

In a way, it's kinda funny, but hopefully he'll realize his mistakes in the future.

Lol, about the batteries dying. Well, he has two DSi LLs. He keeps one on charge, and the other active. If one runs low, he switches.

Anyways, knowing him, he's not going to realize his mistake at all you know?
I have already touched a bit on how THE otaku are. I'm actually surprised that not much people around here have never run into one. They have a mind set that a 3D girl can hurt them, but a 2D girl will always be there. That a 2D girl is never gonna give them up, or let them down, or run around and desert them.

Now if you excuse me, I have a date with Rinko to attend.
