Wow, that makes so much more sense now! In the game Xenosaga there's a girl named Momo and the villain always calls her something like "my peach." I never understood it 'til now, thanks Josiah!

Momo means peach, huh? That's confusing, because in Avatar, the Fire Nation is based off of Imperial Japan, while the Air Nomads are based off of Tibetan monks. Meh, Aang's the one who named Momo, and he did travel 'round the world before he was frozen.

But I digress. Is Appa a Japanese word?

(Ichigo's nickname is due to his red hair (red hair, strawberry). Speaking of Saiyans, Goku is actually the carrot (his Saiyan name is Kakarot). All the Saiyans are named after vegatables. Kakarot = carrot. Vegeta = vegatable. Raditz = raddish. And the like. However, their names are based off the English names of vegatables, NOT the Japanese.)

So that's what it means? I wonder if in the Japanese Mario, they call Peach "Momo" lol.

((Not sure if bamboo is Chinese, but it might be.))

((Actually in Japan Princess Peach is still Peach, just with standard Japanese pronounciation.))
