Looking Back:
See how the grass looks the same in every panel? I really should have changed it a bit each panel. Even so, this is still one of my favorite strips. I just like the joke. Calm acceptance is all well and good but you need to knew when you're taking things too far.

If you've played Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire and are paying attention you may even notice the sorta subtle reference to secret bases, which you can get later in the game. You can make a secret base in a cave, in big trees, and in big piles of grass. Hmm... Personally I wouldn't trust a fort made out of grass, seems a bit too reminescent of a certain fairy tale...
