Looking Back:
I already mentioned how towns in RPGs tend to lack necessary housing. They usually lack a lot of other things as well, such as ordinary stores. Where do people in the Pokémon world buy food anyway? There's the soda machines at the mall and there was that one lady selling lava cookies but that's pretty much it. And that's not even mentioning things like clothes, books, furniture, and all that other stuff that plays a part in your everyday life. Not that I particularly want to see towns with all that stuff in games (the towns would be way too large and have tons of completely pointless areas), but many games, Pokémon included, could handle the situation a bit better than they do now. |
