#185 Guns?

Looking Back:
Like random trainers, your standard evil minion in a Pokémon game fails to realize that a trainer can carry up to six pokémon at a time. Even if they're all low level, a full team would seriously up their battle strength.
That aside, let's look at the punchline of this strip. The fact that every villain in the Pokémon world just gives up after losing in a pokémon battle. That'd be the real life equivalent of a mobster or terrorist giving up on their plans and going home because they lost a game of cards to some random kid. Of course, technically the winning trainers could have their pokémon attack the now defenseless villains, but you don't see that happen in the games. Plus, the Pokémon world seems to be completely lacking in actual weaponry. Maybe you don't need it when you've got a bunch of trainable super powered animals running around, but it still seems really strange.
