Looking Back:
This strip sure sticks out doesn't it? A week or two before I made this I got a letter from a fan who said that he didn't think there'd been enough random humor in the comic lately (which is true, since the mew hunt and pokédex entries had occupied Pebble Version for a while). So I figured I'd do a random humor strip. If you're wondering what the kid is singing, it's a song from West Side Story (which I had just seen a performance of at the time). It's really a perfectly innocent song. Unfortunately, the definition of a rather key word has changed drastically over time, which can really change the meaning when the lyrics are taken out of context. |
