| Looking Back: You might have noticed that mewtwo's head doesn't match the coloring on the rest of his body. Or maybe you didn't... Anyway, like I mentioned in the commentary for the last strip, mewtwo was too strong for Team Rocket to control. In the games, mewtwo just broke free and escaped. In the anime, Team Rocket developed a special helmet that helped them control mewtwo's actions. I got the idea for this helmet from that. Which explains why mewtwo is taking orders from the black suit guys and how they can keep it in a regular pokéball (see, the choice of pokéball was intentional after all, really...). But anyway, getting back to the matter at hand, the main purpose of this strip was to explain the purpose of the helmet for those who spotted it, and point out that the helmet was there for those who didn't notice. |
