Well, mostly because the pokemon that aren't flying and don't have levitate tend to hover close to the ground, if they get off of the ground at all. If on the ground, they're hit for the obvious reasons; if they're only slightly hovering, then it's because the force of the earthquake knocks up some shrapnel and other things that strike the pokemon.

I don't have any good explanation for this but I gotta say that in the 3D games (Colliseum, Revolution, etc) it's pretty weird to see something like Jirachi get hit by earthquake while levitation five feet off the ground while Pidgeot is standing on the ground and doesn't get hit.

Huh? I thought for sure zangoose could-course, I was never lucky enough to get one.

Anyway, in reality, it's probably because their claws just aren't made that way-it's the same way you can't cut down a tree with a scythe. Different types of blades do different things.

mabey there claws are made for stabing the seviper that they find instead of slashing. oh wait, zangoose can learn slash. well, as for the zigzagoon, I think they use there teeth to bite threw. Yes, I know there are ways around my theory guys.

I can't think of any logical reason unless, as previously mentioned, its got weak claws or it simply doesn't like cutting things. Maybe they think they're too good to go around cutting down plants.

This week's topic: Why in the shows the pokemon actually pronounce their names, while in games it sounds more like animal sounds, but loosley based off of their names. Like, in the show Mr. Mime's voice is all high and cheerful, but in the game, it's all dark and scratchy. Why?

I'll go for the technical reason. The first Pokémon games were on the original Gameboy which didn't have good enough sound hardware or enough storage space on the cartridges to have pokémon that actually said their names. The GBA probably could have done it (and the DS definately could) but by then the designers were either too lazy or too nostalgic to replace the old sounds.

Personally I favor too lazy. I mean, they could have at least rerecorded the old sounds in better quality. It'd be like if Mario Galaxy still had the exact same sound effects from the original Super Mario Brothers. Sure pipes will have the same sound but it'll sound a whole lot better.

Why is Naruto ending 1 completely in English? Why does Sanji name all his attacks in French? Why do the Espada of Bleach use Spanish numbers for their ranks? They do have some knowledge of other languages in Japan... heck, Josiah's there right now teaching English. That should say enough.

I mean... uh... ALIENS!
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.
