The Bastard Swordsman

Post by Stevenson »

Depsite it's name, this is the first comic I've posted that I don't need to put a disclaimer above. I mean, it's kinda violent at certain times, and there's a little language, but there's nothing major. So, I'm glad for that.

Anyway, Bastard Swordsman is the story of Faith Vanguard. She goes around generally being a good person, unless someone gets her mad. Which they do a lot.

I'll post favourite strips once people have read more.

To be honest, the story didn't really keep me interested. However, the art is simply amazing. Black-and-white Asian style webcomics have never looked so good.

And of course, you gotta love the classic kicked-in-the-groin gag.

...So why the heck haven't more people read this one? It's really good... or at least, I can certainly appreciate it, being the sounen anime/manga fan I am. I wonder if it was the name that turned everyone away...?

Admittedly, I haven't read as far I was supposed to (spent too much time reading One Piece and advertising the new FUNi dub...) but I read enough to know that the plot was interesting enough and the art was cool. The use of color, in particular, was rather impressive.[/art-critic]
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

I've read it, well not quiet to fifty, I've just been lazy and not-so-paying-100%-attention. I like it and the art styles an old favorite. To bad my art teacher wouldn't let me use it.

And I really do not like this keyboard.
Redback, Funnel-Web, Blue-ringed octopus
Taipan, Tigersnake and a Box jellyfish
Stonefish and the poison thing that lives in a shell
That spikes you when you pick it up

The art is pretty good, especially when it makes the jump to color. I think I did read over 50 but I wasn't counting. Didn't get to read the whole thing through though, seems that lately every time I think I'll have some free time something happens... Anyway, the story started off kinda slow but it got more intersting later on. I'm definately gonna keep reading when I have the time.
