Lifting a red rose from his back pocket, Alex held it infront of Nikka. The sweet smell lightened up the area as the soft music was starting to play in the room for the dance.

Nikka grinned, and took the rose lightly from him.
"Thank you.." she said softly, burying her nose in it for a moment. She glanced up, and pecked him on the cheek quickly.

Alex lifted a hand and guided Nikka to dinner before the dance. Opening the door, he let Nikka enter first, and heard loud gasps as she went in from others that were there.

Nikka bit her lip, and glanced around the room. A few faces looked slightly startled, and she only recognized a few. She waited just outside the door for Alex to enter.

Alex waved a hand to Nikka because he was too scared to walk in. He knew a lot of the other girl vampires will be excited to see him. But smiled at Nikka when she turned around to look at him.

Nikka smiled back, and walked back to Alex.
"Don't tell me you're scared! After letting me operate on you, how can you be scared of a dance?" she asked jokingly.

"It's not just that. I know how to dance. It's just that there a a lot of girls in there that were dying to have me be their date. And dinner isn't one on my list before the dance." Alex tried to back off.

Nikka nodded slightly.
"Alright, then we'll just go somewhere else," she suggested. She didn't want him to feel uncomfortable.

"But I guess we can go in. Make they jelous of you." Alex smiled. He took her hand and walked in.

Nikka laughed, and stumbled in behind him. She attempted to avoid the gazes of others, and followed Alex.

"Alex, you look nice this evening." Paul said on the other side of the table. Alex bowed, and moved on to his seat. Sliding the chair for Nikka, he smiled a little. "Have a seat my dear." Alex said to Nikka.

Nikka curtsied slightly, and supressed a grin.
"Hello Amelia.." she said politely, regarding the one female vampire she did know. Amelia just gave her a sour look, and returned to her dinner.

"What was that about? Oops, I forgot. She asked me and I turned her down." Alex sit down after pulling in Nikka's chair.

Nikka shrugged slightly, and glanced around the table. Jasper seemed to be glaring at Alex, for reason unknown, and Amelia looked slightly miserable. She blinked, and glanced at the table cloth.

Thomas stared at Nikka and Alex and moved to talk to them both. "Are you two serious? Talk has been going around and everyone wants to know. So they don't have to ask you Alex to be with them, nor you Nikka for the walks in the forest or looking up to the sky in the garden."

"I don't know if we are. Just that I'm very happy for the time in my life to be with Nikka."
