Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Tell me where the line is to do that, and I'll be there in a heart beat. Bad news is, I have another contest today, well, I guess I should say tonight, so I won't be able to watch it. The good news is that I will have it recorded! hmm....I wonder if they will dub the opening as well.

Heso! Well, right now, we glare evilly at 4kids for destroying every anime they've ever touched. But if FUNimation can take an anime they'd failed with, then make it as successful as Naruto and Bleach, we get to point and laugh at how much they suck.
And yes, they will be dubbing the opening. Usually I'm not crazy about dubbed openings - why not just use the original Japanese? (Current Naruto opening = Seishun Kyosokyouku. Seishun Kyosokyouku = WIN) - but Vic Mignogna's going to be singing it. As in, Edward Elric, Dark Mousy, Kurz Weber, Ikkaku Madarame, and Brolly Vic Mignogna. So in this case... I'm perfectly fine with an English version of Hikari E.

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Heso! I believe that was the original FUNimation dub of Dragon Ball Z from way back when. There are so many English dubs... but I'm pretty sure FUNi was responsible for the famous OVER NINE THOUSAA(and so on)ND.

So eventually, I started to lose faith... I thought you had been killed in that terrible, terrible war. Or maybe that you had forgotten about me. It's been so long, you probably found another girl over there... I never stopped loving you, but I didn't think you cared about me anymore, so welcoming you back just would have been too painful for me... I'm sorry. I'm glad you've come back home *sniff*

Heso! (<--Skypiean greeting) They had me won with the opening. The opening! Vic Mignogna FTW! Yes, the voices do sound different. Very different. Very BETTER IN EVERY WAY. Heh, Usopp (Sonny Strait) sounded just like Krillin (Also Sonny Strait)... which sounded a little more like 4crap and less like Kappei Yamaguchi than I'd hoped for, but hey, it's better than before. The new One Piece dub is WIN, and I can't wait for the uncut DVDs since I actually have money with which to buy them now!
Also, Atma... Are you on the list? -Has been watching Heroes since the first episode-

Heso! I didn't notice any puns... but hey, they can get away with a few, on account of there were some in teh original Japanese. Sogeking? Yeah. Sogeki = sinper. King = Ou-sama... wait, that's already English. ...I mean, as long as it's not as bad as 4kids (Pell. Said. 'Lucky Ducky'. Whoever wrote that script. Must. Die.) it's all good.
And how could it not be? Did you see the opening? Here! Everyone must see the opening! Or rather, listen to it, because that's Edward Elric/Dark Mousy/I already went throught this, didn't I?/Vic Mignogna singing. It's Win. It just is.

Aloha!
Say, Silver, does Vic McCologne have a part in the series? Just out of curiosity.
Atma, as someone who has been watching it as long as Silver......
Are you in "The Company"?
*hides from Atma*

Heso! Darn, you could watch the raws before any of us... although there wasn't a new episode this week anyway. Er... right now, Viz has the liscence to to the DVDs. It expires in 2009, and FUNimation said they definitely plan on redoing the beginning then. For now, Cartoon Network wants to continue from where 4kids left off, but they really have to redo the earlier episodes before they can start Water Seven anyway. Y'know, since 4kids cut Little Garden, and the whole thing with Oimo and Kaashi wouldn't make sense without it...Josiah wrote:Hi! I'd have watched Funimation's One Piece except that I don't get Cartoon Network in Japan. So Silver, since you seem to be the expert on it, is Funimation also redoing all the old episodes that 4Kids butchered? Any word on a DVD set?
Oh! But they also have the liscence to movie 8, which is a retelling of the Alabasta arc with higher quality animation and what not. So if nothing else, we'll get to see Alabasta as it was meant to be seen sometime next year.
Not yet, actually. Though I'm sure he'll show up at some point. If he ends up playing Franky or Kohza, you can't say I didn't call it.Stevenson wrote:Say, Silver, does Vic McCologne have a part in the series? Just out of curiosity.

Yeah. After the Cheerleader had been saved, they couldn't use that for advertisement anymore, so they started saying, "Are you on the list?" ...It didn't quite catch on, though...Atma wrote:Ballin! Don't know what you mean by "On the list" but I bought the first season on DVD.
