Kusa vs. Bael
Kusa didn't let go of his naginata and allowed himself to be pulled forward. But he didn't impact on Bael's knee. Instead, he placed a hand on the other shinigami's knee and flipped forward to kick Bael's head with the same force he had been pulled with.

Kusa landed on his feet in the grass and looked at Bael after hearing his scream. He noticed that he had left a clear footprint on the other shinigami's face. Seeing it made him fall over, holding his stomach and laughing. "Oh, my gosh... After all these years of sparring... I finally got you good!", he yelled.

The usual anger vein appeared on Bael's forehead as his eye twitched. "Fine. You ready to kick it up a notch?" He said as he walked over, picking up his axe, and holding it forward.
"Shikai."
As he said this, his axe started glowing, transforming into its true form, a double-headed larger axe. He spun the axe around, slamming it into the ground, causing not only a rumble, but pretty much a small earthquake. As he brought his axe up, the dual-axe heads ignited on fire.
He slung it over his shoulder, smirking. "Let's play."

Almost as soon as Bael had said "shikai," Kusa had gotten to his feet. There was an incredibly nervous expression on his face now. "Hey... C'mon, Bae-chan... You know that it's way too dangerous to fight with our shikais...", he tried to reason. Unfortunately, his words fell on deaf ears.
Kusa then sighed. "Oh, fine... We'll play by your rules then.", he submitted, raising his naginata. "Advance, Night Abyss!" His weapon was swallowed in an eerie dark light as it lengthened and bent itself, the blade changing shape. After a moment, he was holding his scythe and his eyes had become darker.

"Now it gets interesting." Bael said as he grabbed his hakama, ripping it off, standing in pants that were a bit tighter, and made it easier to maneuver. "Lets dance." He said as he brought his axe up, and slammed it into the ground, causing the ground to vibrate, and crack underneath Kusa

Kusa had jumped into the air well before the fissure reached his location. He then flipped himself in the air and landed on top of the axe, avoiding the part that was flaming. After running along the length of the axe, he swiftly jumped once again and landed elegantly on Bael's shoulder. Then he smiled down at him and placed the scythe's curved blade a few inches below the shinigami's neck. "Well... In order to dance, you must be close to your partner.", he said, leering down at Bael.

Kusa swayed slightly, the scythe slipping out of his grip and falling harmlessly to the ground. A small blush of red had colored his cheeks and his eyes were closed, breath coming in small pants. He fell back, unable to catch himself before hitting the ground. "H... hot...", he muttered, turning on his side and curling into a ball.

Kusa batted the handle away blindly and held his head, eyes still closed. "Hang on... a minute...", he protested weakly. Finally, after the blush had faded away and his breathing had returned to normal he carefully stood up and took his scythe back. "All right... I think I'm ready to continue now..."

Kusa dug the end of his scythe's handle into the ground so that he could keep his balance while Bael created a small whirlwind. He would have been nervous and sweatdropped at it, but instead he was enjoying the cold wind that brushed against him. It allowed him to fully recover from the heat that had knocked him off his feet. He smirked, looking at Bael. "Thanks for the help."

The tornado that was sent at Kusa blurred Bael's vision of him. From the other side of the tornado, Kusa ripped his scythe from the ground and lunged into the air. He then brought the scythe's blade down and sliced straight through the strong wind currents. The effect of his scythe caused the wind to explode in all different directions around him. As he landed on his feet, he twirled his scythe above his head and then gripped it with both hands. "What else do you have for me, Bae-chan?", he asked.
