freejapaneselessons.com says u! (They have the Hiragana written as "ありがとう;" う is more often than not romanjified as u, if I'm not mistaken. So I think the u works.)
And...
yume = dream
fune = ship
*Loves One Piece* *Hates Dear Friends*

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

I thought it was without the U for a while too, but a friend of mine told me there was a U so I've been putting one on. Also, new words! Again, please feel free to correct me.

You said you heard it in a dream, right? So how do you know it's even a real word? I mean, yasha can mean demon and kuro can mean black, but if that's what your subconscious was going for, it's supposed to be kuroyasha, not the other way around.
Er... here's a vocab word for you; I learned it from Sanji.
Kuso - ...On second thought, never mind. Have some Luffy words instead.
Gomu - rubber
Fuusen - balloon
Muchi - whip

but there are different forms of japanese right? and In the dream I heard it in there was no black demon, there was a boulder covered in cats, but that was the only thing that stood out, alot. so yashakuro might have different meanings.

Hey, I have a pretty confusing dillema at the moment...I heard that the word "ban" means grow, but if "bankai" means final release and "shikai" means initial release, I'm assuming "kai" is release. So wouldn't that make "bankai" the growing release? Please, anyone, help correct me!

Or it might not be a word at all... Seriously. Your subconscious more than likely doesn't know Japaneseauragongal wrote:but there are different forms of japanese right? and In the dream I heard it in there was no black demon, there was a boulder covered in cats, but that was the only thing that stood out, alot. so yashakuro might have different meanings.
Bleach fan much? Well, I'm not sure, but 'ban' could probably mean either one, in the same way that 'Onigiri' can mean riceball or demon slash (Have I mentioned that I love One Piece?). It would depend on the kanji used. For the 'bankai' of Bleach, Tite Kubo definitely used the kanji meaning 'final'.Nabmaster wrote:Hey, I have a pretty confusing dillema at the moment...I heard that the word "ban" means grow, but if "bankai" means final release and "shikai" means initial release, I'm assuming "kai" is release. Quite possibly also worth mentioning is that 'jin' means person, and if you want to specify what type of foreigner you are, you take the name of your country and add 'jin'. Like, an American would be 'amerikajin', a Canadian would be 'kanadajin'...
'nani jin desu ka?' basically means 'What nationality are you?' And then there's 'doko kara ****** ka?' which means 'where are you from?' ...We just went over this stuff in my anime club, see?

BTW: There's several other common ways to ask where you're from. One is 'shushin wa doko desu ka?' 'where is your home?'
Going right off of that...
shushin: meaning not neccessarily your actual house or even where you're living now but what area you most identify with. For example, right now I'm living in Koga Japan and before that I lived in Tempe AZ while going to college but my shushin is still Grand Junction CO.
