"She's right," Mat chuckled. "Just give up. You don't have what it takes to beat a former commander of the Pokemon Palidans!"Teruko-Sama wrote: Teruko laughed as she watched Imakuni's Pokemon fall. "You should give up now, and save yourself some embarassment!" she shouted.
Imakuni looked over at her. "Please, darling." he said, trying to be cool. "I can handle this weakling."
"Jerk!" Both of the girls shouted. This was really bringing back old memories.
Adjusting the sun hat over his head, Imakuni growled quietly. "I'll prove I'm ready for the higher ranks."
"Shut up!" Imakuni yelled and gripped a pokeball. "How about this: whoever wins keeps the opponent's strongest pokemon."
"You're a cocky one, are ya? Okay. I'll take your strongest pokemon."
"Then it's settled! Go, Luciele!" Imakuni sent out his Lombre, Luciele, to the field. The Lombre was fast. Once it was sent out, Luciele started running around Spectral.
But this didn't phase Mat. "Oh c'mon. Spectral, Ice Beam." Spectral released a cold chilly beam to the floor and watched Luciele slipped on the pad of ice. Spectral finally finished it off with a take down attack. "You still want to play?"
"Grrr...I'm not out yet! I still have two pokemon left! Go, Damien!" Imakuni sent out his Wobbuffet, Damien. It just stood there, looking constipated.
"You gotta be kidding me. Spectral, Shadow Ball!"
"Counter!"
Spectral released it's awesome Shadow Ball attack at Damien, but Damien reflected it with double the force. Spectral barely dodged it and it was growing weak.
"Hey, you're not bad. You're the first trainer to ever get Spectral this weak. But Spectral has more attacks than you can ever think off. Fire Spin!" Spectral shot out a flaming tornado and it engulfed Damien before it can use counter. Damien fell, burnt to a crispy crisp.
"No!" Imakuni cried and returned his Damien and sent out his last pokemon. "Go, J'aeten, my strongest pokemon!" A small orb of light appeared with big, cute, black eyes and fairy wings.
"That's your strongest pokemon? Please! Spectral, attack with Shadow Ball!" But before Spectral can attack, J'aeten unleashed its Hyper Beam, knocking out Spectral. "Wha-what?! Spectral!"
"J'aeten is not only my strongest, but my first pokemon! You can never beat it! It never lost a battle!"
"Spectral...return," Mat said and returned his pokemon into its ball. "I never thought I'd ever use those words again...but your not the only one with a strong pokemon. Meet my first, and strongest pokemon, Blackout!" Blackout, a black pikachi, popped out of Mat's bag and jumped into the field. It's black coat shined in the sun as it scratched the back of it's right ear. "Remember this pokemon, Teruko? The one I beat you with? Guess what? I'll show you that I can beat your "boyfriend" with it! Just watch! Blackout, Rain Dance!"
Blackout started dancing around, and the sun disappeared, being covered by rain clouds. Teruko and Hoshi took out their umbrellas and covered themselves. Blackout then moved swiftly for the kill. It attacked J'aeten relentlessly, missing every shot.
"You're too slow! J'aeten, Hyper Beam!" J'aeten unleashed its hyper beam, engulfing Blackout. But when the smoke cleared, Blackout was gone. "What? Where'd it go?!"
"Right here! Blackout, BK Thunder!" Blackout appeared on J'aeten's back and unleashed it's powerful Black Thunder attack. J'aeten fainted, and Mat won the battle. "You still think you can take on the Tohjo Elite Corps. now?!"
Imakuni gasped in horror and fell to his knees, returning his J'aeten to its ball. "You're right...you are stronger...as agreed, you take my J'aeten."
But Mat helped him up. "Keep it. You battled hard. Your the first trainer in years to have beaten my second strongest pokemon." And he smiled as he walked him back to the girls. Then he sneezed. 'Should've taught Blackout sunny day.'
