I like my Zabuza... but I'll admit the Water/Steel thing is really, REALLY annoying. It's been established that there aren't many fire types, and the only other types water is strong to are rock and ground.. both of which commonly learn ground attacks, which Empoleon is weak to. So he was pretty much useless.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

I'm a water enthusiast, but for once I'm not going for the water type, due to it's sheer useless in D/P.
Floatzel is as good, if not better than Emploeon.
So I'm geting Chimchar.
as for a new fire type, a Bug/Fire would be cool.
Or mabey a fire-crab.
Or a Fire Panda.
Or a Llama...

Tentacruel and Octillery still work pretty well because they can learn a wide variety of attack types from TMs. Octillery can learn pretty much any powerful special TM (Flamethrower, Psychic, Ice Beam, Charge Beam) and Tentacruel can learn Ice Beam, Giga Drain and Sludge Bomb.

This week's discussion:
Hows does a pokemon become shiny, and why can't you breed pokemon shiny from a shiny pokemon?

Genetic mutations duh.

Oh fine something more complicated.

When the Pokemon were young, they were attacked by a mad Smergle. They fought, but the pokemon lost, and the pokemon became horribly colored for life. The reason why they're so rare, is that the other members of their pack hated these creeps and... uh... "disposed" of them. The pokemon that wern't disposed of wandered aimlessly. Also, the reason they sparkle is because they have an unsatisfiable urge to roll around in glitter.

This also explains why shiny pokemon can't be bred to make shiny pokemon.

When Pokemon exceed the normal boundaries for stats and battle prowess, the government marks them with shiny powder.

That, or somebody was drunk and had too much glitter on his hands...

This week's question: Figure out the meaning behind each name, like, why they were named that.
Absol, Sceptile, Mew, Azurill

I'm not sure about Absol... Sceptile is obviously a variation of 'reptile'... Mew is the sound a cat makes, and it's fairly feline... Azurill just comes from Azumarill which was name by ALIENS! They BRAINWASHED everyone into thinking the 'Azu' meant something!

They're obviously named after the sounds they make :-P That aside, I'll agree with Silver about Sceptile.

Azurill is a shortened form of Azumarill, it's final evolution. Mar can mean sea and since Azurill isn't a water type till it evolves that's probably why it was dropped.

As for Absol, to quote from Wikipedia "The name "Absol" might mean "absence" of "sol," or sunlight, which might refer to the fact that there is no sunlight (figuratively) or happiness (literally) in a natural disaster, why it is a Dark-type, and why it is a nocturnal Pokémon. It may also come from one of the words "absolve", "absorb", "absolute", or "absolution"."

Arceus is the supposed creator pokémon and therefor would probably be the first one.
Although that contradicts with some sources that say Mew was the first pokémon.
Mewtwo was an attempt by Team Rocket to create the ultimate pokémon using Mew's genes so it's the "newest" legendary.

Ok, I started this out so someone else can explain some more legendaries.
