That was EGM's April Fools joke this year. Well, I'm 99.9% sure it was. Can't be totally certain until next issue when they announce what the joke was but I read the whole issue and everything else seemed totally believable while that story just screamed "April Fool!". So yeah, it's not real. Can't believe how many people fall for EGM's jokes every year...

They just announced the upcoming Guild Wars stuff. First off, an actual expanion pack (instead of a new campaign) for the original GW Prophecies near the end of the year. That'll be fun but its main purpose is to set things up for the... GUILD WARS 2 which isn't coming until late 2008 or sometime in 2009 and is gonna have a ton of changes. For one thing it takes place 200 years after the other games so no importing characters, although new guys can inherit some of their stuff. You'll also be able to jump, swim, climb, and other cool stuff like that. The biggest pieces of news? You can play as other races besides humans (Charr anyone?) and the game is going to be a mix of instances and a persistant world. That last one could be kinda risky but I'm certainly intrigued...

Fracture for the PS3 looks sweet. Appearently, they have grenades that suck people into a vortex and go boom. And you can actually shoot a rocket inti the vortex to make a bigger boom!

According to Gamefaqs, SSBB will be out this year in 2007, but there's no release date.
