At some point I probably mentioned that I'm learning Flash this semester. I've done a few different movies but most of them aren't all that interesting (slide shows, moving shapes, etc). So heree's the latest and best one. Plus it's PV related.

Flash is nice, though I want to kill Xain for singing Numa Numa...*See the end* Nevermind, Golem does a nice job at it.

Forgot to mention this before but the assignment was to do a lip sync so please pay attention to Xain's mouth, since getting it to match up to the music was what I spend 75% of the time working on.

That was bloody hilarious. Yeah, I was noticing that too, you did really well.

If anyone doesn't know I've been doing a graphic design internship at my school this semester since I need internship credits to graduate. Anyway, there was a time when we (the graphic design department) didn't have a whole lot that needed to be done so we were assigned to submit a design for Urban Collective's next issue.

Urban Collective is a website for graphic design. Every month they have a themed issue and people submit a graphic design image based on that theme. They pick the best and put them in said issue. Anyway, mine got put in (and so did the ones the guys I work with submitted). Here's the correct issue of UC, unfortunately I can't link straight to my submission. The bar near the top of the screen is used to navigate the issue. To get to my image you need to click the arrow in the bottom right corner to get to the second set of images. Mine is the really orange fiery one. Plus once you select the correct one you can see my name.

For the record, I think all the global warming talk is rather exaggerated but stop global warming was the theme so I had to work with it.

((EDIT: Here's the image itself.))

Very nice. The only remarkable problem would be that pokeballs don't fly that slow.

I'd personally suggest practicing some drawing and fbf animation. Even simple stuff. Sprites are easy to animate, you just have to line it up. Once you get your animation theory down, it's simple.

The pokéball speed was intentional, but I know what you mean.

I've done some drawing too. I'll post my final project from Flash class sometime soon so everyone can see.

Teaser time! Here's some partial sprite sheets from Car Washer: Summer of the Ninja, the casual game I'm working on.

The (currently nameless) main character.

They look good now, you should have seen the first car sheet though... Isometic sprites are a real pain to make.

Realized that nearly everything in my art thread either got delete in a past forum upgrade or ended up as a broken link when I rearranged the folder structure for PV and I had some time to kill so I went back and edited all my old posts to put everything back where it should be. Maybe I'll even add some new things soon now that that's done...

As part of a job application, I had to do a rather lengthy design test, part of which involved making an iphone game concept, designing a level for said game concept, and doing a mock screen shot from said level. The screenshot was a bit of a pain since art isn't my specialty, but it didn't turn out too badly so I figured I'd post it here. My game concept was something along the lines of Kirby's Epic Yarn meets the LEGO games, hence the blocky visual style.
