Just found out that it's not SEGA japan that's threatening to sue, it's SEGA Europe. They're claiming THEY own Sonic and not their Japanese counterpart.

If YTMND is not making any money off Sonic, or claiming that Sonic is of their own creation, they are not doing anything illegal.

SEGA Eurpe is part of SEGA Japan, so really they all own Sonic.

As for your second comment, that's not neccessarily true. Copyright law is more complicated than you'd think. It could in fact be illegal. There are some parts of the law about protecting the image of copyrighted material. Sonic is generally regarded as being for kids so when you put him in something that's decidedly not for kids... Anyway, it's complicated. I'm just saying that SEGA probably does have at least some legal backing to what they're doing.

Story of today and part of yesterday with my new Star Wars: Empire at War. Which is why, along with rigorous studying for a delayed test, I have not posted in any RPs at all during RP week, which frustrates me greatly.

Quan-su! Sorry I haven't posted anything lately. Was too tired from last week's heroclix tournament which I DOMINATED with Black Adam! Of course it's gonna mean nothing considering the upcoming 600 point game is gonna be much bigger!

Hi! It's day one without my car (which is getting repaired since someone hit it while it was sitting in the parking lot) so I ended up getting to school nearly two hours early and there's a decent chance I'm going to have to walk back home. Sigh...

Tomorrow will be the first day I've ever actually dressed up for School Spirit. Wanna know why? BECAUSE ITS DRESS LIKE A NINJA DAY! So, im sitting here, testing out my Ninja Attire, and loving it. This is awesome. Its going to be fun walking around the school tomorrow...

I think I overkilled my outfit..

Argh....my life....is pretty sucky right now. Because....it is. I'm not leaving, far from it. But if you've noticed that I've not been around as much, that's the reason. Also the main reason that I didn't post...like...at all....during RP week. It, in all honesty, had nothing to do with EAW. I was trying to cover it up...but I realize now that I can't avoid it. The truth of the matter is, I couldn't muster up the energy required to make a moving post. I'm just....drained. And I apologize. From the bottom of my heart, I truly am. I'm really just...overwhelmed right now. Again, I'm not leaving, Survivor will start up again soon with me as the head. I'll do my best to move along the KH RP in a big way soon enough. But right now....I'm doing the best I can, and I don't think it's enough. So I'm apologizing.

Before anyone asks: NO, this has nothing to do with girls. At all. Honestly, I really, really wish it was. It would simplify the problem.

So, again: I'm sorry, and I'll try to do better in the future. Just....not right this moment. Hope you all can forgive me.
