The World

[Isaac]

The World is an MMORPG (multi-mega online roleplaying game) and over 20 million people are already playing it. In this RP, we're playing inside of the World as our characters. You can chat with friends and shop in the towns, go on dungeon quests and battle monsters in the fields, and much more.

First, here are some basic terms to learn for the World:

Root Town: The hub of activity. Here, players can chat, buy, sell, and trade items, get information, and depart for other fields or towns.
There are four main Towns:
Mac Anu - The City of Water
Dun Loriag - The City in the Mountains
Carmina Gadelica - The Cultural City
Fort Ouph - The City in the Sky
Players are required to begin in Mac Anu until they gain some experience and meet with all other players.

Field: A place accessed by combining 3 keywords into a phrase at a Chaos Gate. Fields may contain rare items/treasure/artifacts, clues for various quests or events, and other important things. They are also usually full of monsters and have a main Dungeon filled with more monsters and items.

Chaos Gate: A swirling circular gate in the middle of the root towns. From here, players can warp to other towns and access any number of fields. It is the primary means of travel in the World.

Keywords: Fields are accessed by combining keywords to create various fields. Each keyword has an affect on the outcome of the field. Certain combinations of keywords can lead to secret or off-limit areas.

Guilds: I'm not exactly sure how to explain it... Just that, Guilds are formed and based on a specific purpose. It is up to the Guild Master on who may join, what the qualifications are and how many players he will allow to join. In order to create a Guild, give the name and the Specific Purpose for creating the Guild.

Arena Battles and Tournaments: There is a huge arena located in Mac Anu called the Demon Palace. Here, players may compete in arena battles and administration-sponsored tournaments. You may have up to three people in your party to compete with. MK and I will organize battles and tournaments and announce them to you. You must register with us in order to participate.

Players are allowed to pick two of the Classes below:
Beastmaster - Summon Guardian beasts to your aid.
Blademaster - Use normal swords and katanas.
Heavy Blade (a.k.a. Blade Brandier) - Use large broad swords.
Heavy Axeman - Use small and large axes.
Long Arm - Use long spears and javelins.
Twin Blade - Use twins sets of daggers.
Wavemaster - Use rods and mainly magic.
Marksman - Use bows and arrows.
Harvest Cleric - Use staffs and healing magic.
Adept Rogue - Use broad swords and/or twin blades.

Players can use any of the Magic Spells and Elements:

Moon Phase - Temporary Paralyzation
OrJuk Rom - Wood Element
OrGan Rom - Rock Element
OrVak Rom - Fire Element
OrRue Rom - Water Element
OrAni Rom - Darkness Element

Players are allowed to name their own Weapon and create a special Skill/Ability for it.

Players can have as many Characters as they'd like, although no more than three is recommended.

Haru's boots clacked on the stone steps leading down from the Chaos Gate into the center of Mac Anu, the City of Water. When he reached the main walkway, he observed the peaceful tranquility of the citizens. The sun was setting in the sky, casting a red orange glow down onto the water. Haru walked over to the water's edge and up onto the bridge.

"It's really nice today...", he said to himself, staring down at his reflection on the water.

He stretched, stretching his wings and arms. His Crimson Wave rod was held in one hand, his Wrath Blade slung across his back, and his twin Steel Harbingers rested in sheaths at his sides.

Dragon Cannon: A very primitive gun type device. Basically, it's a gunpowder powered arrow launcher tube.

Long Arm: Pogo: Invented only by an engineer, the spear is actually spring loaded, enabling it to stab with much more force but making it rather inneffective at stabbing afterwards until reset...other than that there are few other markings on it.

Since MK and I are in charge of the Demon Palace Arena, we'll create two more characters who are in charge. The Emperor and the Empress, who will comment on the matches, have guest commentators, and award items and such to the winners. You will need to make the Emperor, MK. ^_-

Falthir logged on, sighing heavily.

"I swear... the people at work get stupider every day. Oh well, time to hit the zone I've been trying to hit for awhile now..."

He began walking toward the chaos gate, his plate-armor mamking clanks on the ground. He somewhat enjoyed the clanks. He remembered when he fire started the game. Started off with the same cloth armor as everyone else did. But he worked his way up, and got himself a very nice sword, and a nice armor set. He was a tank, and he enjoyed it.

Forest was walking in Mac Anu - The City of Water (<--- SO NOT COPY & PASTE) seeing all the players using pathetic chatspeak; killing the word "Cultural". An obvious "n00b" came up to Forest, asking for money in the most laughable and pathetic way.

Forest walked passed "it", towards the Chaos Gate and put in the words: Somewhere Without Idiots, hoping for an extreeeemely complicated field where only "sane" people are.

Haru heard a faint clinking, the sound of armor on stone. He chuckled softly and turned around to see an old friend and fellow admin., Falthir.

"Falthir!", he called, running over to him. "Hi. How are you doing today?"

Nevermore was perched, sitting atop one of Mac Anu's structures. He could clearly see the Chaos Gate from his position. One player, of whom he was aquainted with, had caught his interest, but he did not feel like approaching them since they were speaking to another player at the time.

Silver leaned on the Jungle Pride, Tori sitting on the ground bside him. Mac Anu seemed unusually dull today... almost as dull as real life. Regardless, he continued searching for something to do, in an attempt to revive this roleplay.
