"And I'm agreeing with you." *The group looked at each other in dismay.*

"We could split up." *Silver suggested.*

"And then we'd never find each other again."

"No, I could find you." *The others jumped, it had been so long since Shauni had spoken.* "I can sense your presence, I can find you again."

"In that case, why don't we split up? We can meet back here in an hour and tell everyone what we've found. And if anyone gets lost we can use Shauni to find them."

"Sounds good. So how do we want to group this?"

"Well, no offense but Josiah, Shauni, and I are probably the strongest so I think we should each go on alone. You and David would probably be better sticking together."

"Ok, I'll see you guys in an hour then." *Josiah headed down the nearest tunnel.* "Don't get lost!"

"Same to you!" *The others each picked a tunnel and descended into the darkness.*

Current Monsters:
Electricutz - 3/3 - Electric --> Multi Striker, Voltage, Electric Speed, Electric Heaven, Electricuter
Night Wing - 3/3 - Dark/Wind --> Shadow Bind, Shadow Shroud, Dark Strike, Dark Aura, Hurricane Gale
Mogal - 2/3 - Ground --> Root Strike, Leaf Rain, Upheaval, Rock Crusher, Quaker
Raystar - 2/3 - Light --> Shine, Sparkling Beam, Ray Striker, Light Power, Ultra Nova
Night Flame - 2/3 - Fire/Dark --> High Temp, Vicious Bite, Claws of Fire

*20 minutes later Jeff reaches a dead end.*

"Now that you've split from you're comrades, I can destroy you!"

"Crap, the earth chosen! Go bubble!"

"Go tech Golem!

"Bubble use tsunami."

*Tech golem is destroyed in one hit. The chosen is destroyed.*

"Wow that was easy. Almost too easy. I'd better head back and warn the others."

((Before anybody says anything that was not the real chosen. Each of you should run in to the "chosen" but it will be a fake. The real one shows up when we get back together.))

"Man this path sure does curve a lot..." *Josiah was walking so fast he nearly smashed into the stone wall.* "Aw man, I had to pick the dead end passage."

"That's not what you should be complaining about. Your time is up."

"What?!? The chosen?" *Josiah grabbed a random card.* "Go Mogal!"

"Destroy him Steel Golam!"

"Use Quaker!" *It felt as if the entire cavern was crumbling.*

"No!!!" *Both the chosen and his monster were destroyed by the attack.*

"Gee, I would have figured the last chosen would be stronger..." *Mogal began to glow.* "Awesome it's growing!" *Mogal gained several feet and a lot of branchs becoming Mogalmel.* "Well, I'd better go back and tell the others what happened."

"Great. A dead end. I thought for sure this was the right way..."

"Well, we better try to find everyone else."

"I don't think so!"

"It's the last chosen!"

"And it's... a girl?"

"You got a problem with that?"

"Go Toshi!"

"Go Tech Golem!"

"Go Tech Golem!"

"Flame Wing!"

"Nature's Fury!"

"Nature's Fury!" *The Chosen and her Tech Golem were destroyed*

"Well, that was pathetic."

"Now let's go find the others!"

"Right! We'll rub it in their face! I knew the secondary characters would get their chance to shine!"

"That's not exactly what I had in mind..."

shauni had been wondering alone for about half an hour, she reached a dead end
"O great...Guess I should have gone left..."
she looked around herself, but strangly felt cold
she smiled "So Chosen, you show yourself, sort of"
The girl appred as if from the wall itself, her ghostly form became solid
"I know ur not the real chosen, nice try thought" followed shauni
The chosen smiled friendly, which suppirsed shauni
It spoke "I am the last chsoen, as you well know, but this cave is undergoing the purge of data, if you waste your time with me, you may all be eradicated"
Shauni frowed "So why tell me?"
The chosen floted towards her "This virus has fractured my codeing, I have been splintered into many peaces, you talk to my good nature, I suggest you leave. If inded you survie the purge, I will be reforemed, and then I will kill you"

Shauni pushed the girl away who had slowly been leaning over her
"Get away you demon!"
She ran back down the tunnel, looking for the others, following her sences

"Josiah! Jeff! Silver, David! We gatta get out of here now!"

But suddbely the open path became a wall, and blocked her path
"It is the purge....." the voice of the girl spoke
"Be reduced to your origanl code! Become the virsus Hellfire! And then be wiped out by the organisation...that way my job be done....."

*Jeff's head began to pound heavily.*

"...this must be it... Bubble use erosion on that wall!!!"

*The attack opened up a path to the exit.*

"Hurry up Jeff! We don't have much time."

"I'm sorry, but I have to fufill my destiny. This is where... I die."

"...NO! JEFF YOU CAN'T!"

"That was my secret. I must stop her. I must protect you. Go please."

*Josiah came over to give one last hug to his friend. David and Silver followed suit. Overwhelm with tears, Shauni could not move. She was dragged along by Silver and Josiah.*

"Don't make my sacrifice be in vain."

"No! What are you doing? Stop that!"

*Jeff throws his sword into the chest of the girl, destroying her. The others make it out of the cave just as it becomes purged. Jeff is gone. They spent the next hour in silence.*

"Rest in peace, Jeff. You were truly a brave man."

END OF CHAPTER 5

CHAPTER 6: THE END IS NEAR

Shauni sat staring at the rubble.....
"You promised you wouldnt die.....YOU PROMISED YOU WOULDNT DIE!" she yelled at the rubble, tears flowing from her eys and hitting the ground
She collaped onto her knees and began to hit the ground
"No! NO! NO!" she yelled as one hand hit, and then the other
"He said it would happen! But I swar it would not! He was the real one....he should have left me there....not him!" she yelled, she then threw her cards to the ground, and her staff into the hole her ponding had made
"This isnt fai....Why must I lose everyone!"
SHe then stood up and stood silently for a moment, the others morning to but in silence
She suddnly looked up "Then I will take my revenge...."
she picked up the weapon and cards again, her eys clowing black "This world has hurt me for the last time....i will take this fight to god, to the hacker...."
she began to storm of, her tears still flowing, but as red blood in the wind, there others didnt notice her leaving, they to mornd

"There has to be something I can do... In some game, somewhere, there HAS to be someone with power over life and death!"

"I wouldn't get your hopes up..."

"What happened to 'If there's a will, there's a way'?"

"It died in the purge... Silver, just accept the fact... he's dead. D-e-a-d, Dead. Get it through your head."

"Maybe I can't think of anyone with the power to bring him back from the dead, but... I've got time travel! CELEBI!!!"

shauni stopped walking, she could feel a strange warth
"Celebi......" she wispred
She tured and saw Silver merge with the coding of Celebi from Colloacum
She stopped walking and watched Celebi Silver float into the air, she attempted time travil but it was no no avale, the purge had removed all mutated data, this included the powers from other games.
Celebi Silver slumped back to the ground, her tears welled as the coding disattched itself from Silver, who lay down with tears also
"Why wont anything work" he quested as he placed both of his hands over is face
Shauni contuied to walk of
"Why did I even think that would work..." she thought to herself
"Its never that easy...."
Silver wont give up, he cleared his mnd and simply tryed again, shauni meanwhile had disapred from view.......

"Gold?"

"Not without this." *Plays time Flute*

"Why didn't I think of that? Ok, CELEBI!!!" *Successfully goes back in time*

shauni suddnly found herself back inside the building where Jeff had died
She looked around confused at first but then realised what had happened
"He actualy did it....I guess now I forfill my porficy...I will chose who dies...and I chose me!"

Jeff stood before the Chosen, his sword drawn
"I'm sorry, but I have to fufill my destiny. This is where... I die."

"...NO! JEFF not this time!"

"That was my secret. I must stop her. I must protect you. Go please."
"No i wont!" yelled SHauni, she dove infront of Jeff and pushed the chosen back, Jeffs swip missed, and inted of dragging shauni away, the others dragged Jeff away as he yelled "Its supposed to be me!"

They got out just in time, as the purge wipped all the mutated data away, including shauni........

Shauni had destryed the chosen this time around, her last gift to the others......

"Well then maybe you want this." *Holds up a shuani card*

"She was turned into a monster, just like Felix..."

"Looks like it... You should take it, Jeff."

"Anyone want to tell me what I missed?"

"Welcome to comic relief-dom, my friend."

The card was a mutation card, and an image that was not what they expected was on the cover
Shauni was not there, insted there was a picture of what looked like a unicorn

They all looked sadly at the card
"What does this mean?" asked Jeff
Silver took the cardf from gold "She is lost....reconfigured like Felix. Maybe we should go back to Codo (The guy who took the Felix card to see if he could return him to normal)
The others noded
Suddnely the card glowed and the unicorn emerged from the card, it flashed vilently with crimson red and suddnly shauni was throughn from it, as she was, and landed on the floor. The crimson light faded and the card became dust
Shauni suddnly sat up
The others looked at her in total shock
She breathed heavly, like she had run a marathon
"I found you.....guys, no purge will wipe me out or change me into game data!"
The others cheared,
"But shauni suddenly went somber "Guess this wasnt eather of our times...." she follwed
Jeff noded "Which means they are yet to come....."

"Thanks, Gold."

"...No problem. But I better go before Crystal knows I'm gone..."

"GOLD!!!"

"...Too late. Bye!" *Runs off*

"What was that about Celebi?"

"...Nothing. Where to next?"

Shauni< Jeff and Silver smiled at each other as they walked down the road, no way was silver secodary in any way
David and Josiah where in the dark on this one, and the three decided to keep it that way, non of them should have to know two of them nearly died, this journey was hard enough already...
but where to now? The last chsoen was dead

Little did they know and even greater enemy was watching them
