Mafia

Post by Prancing Mad »

Basically, this game is sort of a Detective-like card game. What it is, is that you have 4 important people.

1. The Narrator - The Narrators job is to, well, narrate. He's the one "in charge". He never loses the game. He's the only one that knows who everyone is.
2. The Mafia - The second most important guy. The one everyone wants to 'find'.
3. The Spy - He can try and figure out what the others are, cept the Narrator, everyone knows who the Narrator is.
4. The Doctor - He can save people from the Mafia.

Anyway, what happens is The Narrator will PM the Mafia, and ask them "Who do you want to 'kill'?" The Mafia will pick someone. Then, the Narrator will message the Spy, and ask them "Who do you want to spy on?" The Spy will reply to the Narrator one of the players. The Narrator will then tell the Spy if that player is the Mafia or not. Then the Narrator will message the Doctor and say "Who do you want to save?" The Doctor will then pick a player, and that player, if the Mafia picked that player, Doesn't die. After that, the Narrator will post in this Topic Who died. That's when people begin to make accusations as to who the Mafia member might be. Whoever gets the most votes is out. If its the Mafia member, the game ends. If its not ht emafia member, the game continues.

You do not say what you are till AFTER the game ends. That way, people don't know if the Doctor or Spy had been killed off yet.

To decide what each person is, For the card game, the narrator takes a Queen, King, and a Jack, and for each player beyond the first three, a number card. Whoever gets a number card is just a civilian. Whoever gets the queen is the Spy. Whoever gets the King is the Doctor. Whoever gets the Jack is the Mafia.

We need a pretty good amount of People, so if enough people join up, I'll be the first narrator.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

NOTE: The following people are always in for each game unless they say otherwise or don't respond for more than a week.

Oh! Oh! I know this game! We played it on the day before the last day of school last year. ALL DAY. I think there was a conspircy going on, 'cause I was the doctor like every time. And Marc was killed off first like every time. And if he wasn't, you knew he was the Mafia XD

Heh, Steve was the best narrator. He'd make up these random stories about how the person got killed exactly - someone was eaten by a robo-shark whilst surfing, someone had a bomb planted in their math book (Dead give away that the teacher - who pwned and was playing - was the mafia), and then there was this dragon that kept showing up.

...Er... what I mean is... I am SO in!
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

All righty, I'm going to go ahead and shuffle the 6 cards, then message everyone their card number/face.

EDIT: And go ahead and ask the Mafia/Doctor/Spy

EDIT EDIT: Cards have been sent, I'll double post (ZOMG) after the Mafia/Spy/Doctor have messaged me back. And I'll turn it into a story-like thing!

In the normally-peaceful village of Pebbleversionia, the people slept calmly in their beds. But, one day, there was a gunshot during the night time. When the neighbors ran outside, they quickly took a headcount. One of the neighbors gasped as they realized that the neighborhood's Celebifly was missing. Immediatly, the Sheriff came by, and tied a noose to the tree.
"All right," said the Sheriff, "Who dun it?" At this point, the neighbors all quickly started accusing the others for the rest of the night.

(Discussion/Voting time, if you want to cast your vote, just put "I vote (Insert name here)" in any shape or form, and after everyones voted, I shall tally the votes, then have the Sheriff say who lost!)

What?! Why on earth would I kill Opal?

Er... I vote Shans. Just because I feel like it.

I vote for Silver, he sounds like the kind of guy to commit regicide.

I'm gonna vote for Shans as well for the simple reason that he hasn't posted yet.
