Unknown Nothingness

When night had set outside, a couple of guards came to their cell. They had three trays with some food on them. "Dinner is served.", said one of them as he slid the trays to them. On each tray was two slices of cheese, one slice of bread, and one slice of meat.

Artemis was still in the corner, sleeping. She hadn't been asleep long, when she started muttering. "You were... prisoner... also? How awful... I'm sorry... hear that... we may die as well soon...", she mumured softly. It sounded as though she were talking to another person but there was no one else present in the room besides Tikawa and Aldar.

Tikawa just pushed the plate away, and sat back against the wall.

That's great... Feed us when they're going to kill us tommorow...

"Meh. She's a Necromancer..." Aldar said, pointing a finger at the ShadowWing. "And she owes us something for helping her when she was unconsious."

Aldar grinned. "You here her muttering under her breath, right? She's not sleeping, you know..."

After those words, Aldar turned over and curled up into a ball.

*Tikawa looks down Artemis, then back to Aldar.*

"... She's sleeping you idiot..."

Artemis continued to talk in her sleep. "My name... Artemis... And them? The one... blue wings... Tikawa. White wings... Aldar." She shifted slightly.

Aldar fell asleep. He began dreaming that he was soaring, higher than anyone ever flew before. Suddenly, he began falling. He looked at his wings. They were gone. He screamed, but no one could hear him as he fell and fell and fell...

Artemis woke with a start at the loud screams of Aldar. She pressed her palm against her racing heart and said to Tikawa, "We should wake him from his nightmare..."

Tikawa sighed slightly, stood up, and shoved on on Aldar's shoulder slightly.

"Hey, man, are you all right?"

Aldar woke with a start. "Huh? Oh, yeah...yeah..." he said, wiping his brow.

"That sounded like an awful nightmare...", Artemis trailed off. She looked to the dungeon floor with a sad expression adorning her face. "We still haven't thought up a way to escape this... There are only a few hours before dawn.", she added, her voice barely more than a whisper.

Tikawa just sat back against the wall again. He sighed heavily. He knew they were going to die.

Or were they? He looked to his left, noticing a slgith crack in the wall. He lifted a brow, and poked at it slightly, and it broke apart.

"Hello... what have we here?"
