Hi! Sadly, it has been pretty dead lately. It'd be nice if everyone at least posted in this thread regularly to talk about what's going on in their lives and such.

On that topic, my friend Connie is visiting from China so we've been touring, watching anime (just watched Patema Inverted, which was pretty good), and the like. It's a lot of fun, though not leaving me with much time for video games (like Smash 3DS), Aurora's Nightmare, or other non-work related projects. But there will be plenty of time to focus on all of that once she leaves. There's also a lot of Jewish holidays going on right now. Rosh Hashanah was a week and a half ago, Yom Kippur was on Saturday, and sukkot starts Wednesday night. So yeah, I've been busy, but mostly in enjoyable ways.

And finally, to answer Stevenson's question... You could post about it in this thread, or make a new thread in Whatever. Or, if you want something more appropriate, I could convert the TCG section into a general non-electronic games section.

Hey,

Well, I'll do my best to keep this place somewhat alive, but for the next few weeks, it may be tough. Midterms and all going on for me right now.

In other news, I've been on a total nostalgia trip lately, music-wise.
Last week, I decided to take a listen to some of the music from Animal Crossing for the GameCube. Brought back memories of getting up at the break of dawn to go fishing and play all day/adjust the game clock just to hear my favorite music play in the background (9 am, 1pm, and 2am).
This week, it's been almost nothing but Lego Island music. Lego Island was on of the first computer games I ever played, so it's got a special place in my heart (oh, the corniness). Also, Nick Brick and Pepper (two of the playable character from the game) were the most rad dudes back then. Especially Nick. Totally rad, man.

Aaand, if I write any more I may be late to class. Stay radical, people!

I've had a itch to draw that I haven't for a while, which is gutting as I threw away my scanner a few months ago. I think its time to upgrade to a wacom or something.

I'm not talking about restarting ROM. That's dead in the water, its either a new comic or a reboot with only my original characters as the reason ROM died is I never felt I could really do what I wanted with it. I want to work on something original.

I'm also thinking of doing a few guest comics. I've owed DHS one for like a year now LOL

Mm, adaptations are often a difficult task, as I understand it. I can't even imagine adapting something explicitly for the people who created the thing you're adapting!

Aloha! I've been playing quite a bit of Smash Brothers on the 3ds, and I must say I'm very surprised with the quality! They fit quite a bit on to that handheld game.

Hey,

Still working through midterms, but, oddly enough, I'm posting here more. Oh, procrastination, you are a strange mistress.

So, I'm hyped up. Tomorrow night is the Lunar eclipse! First major astronomical event since I started college, so that'll be pretty cool. It starts around sunset here in the US, so check it out if you get the chance/weather permits. Let's see if New York will allow me one day cloud-free.

Also, I've been messing around with redstone in Minecraft. At first, it seemed (to me) to be simple, but it's slightly more complicated than I expected (Logical gates, inputs, and flip flops, oh my). Lots of trial and error is required. Kind of like programming!

...Speaking of which, I have a computer science midterm tomorrow, so I should probably start studying for that...and so I shall!

smash bros on 3DS is pretty good, on single player.

i've notice that on two player or more, on the larger arenas when you spread out, the characters get so small on the original 3DS screen they are like a millimetre tall, I also lose track of who I'm playing if a lot of the characters look the same (like Marth and Link) etc.

Its still a very good game though. Still got a lot of characters to unlock though.

I still don't have a Wii U but my fella does, so when its out in there, I can't wait to SEE the characters LOL.

Duck Hunt Duo was a pain to unlock but the character model to play is really funny

Hi! Haven't had a chance to play Smash Brothers 3DS yet, and I'm I might not get one until after Connie leaves next week. We having fun though, so it's ok.

When she does leave though, in addition to some work I've been putting off, I've got Smash, Layton vs. Phoenix, and Curtain Call all vying for my attention, and that's not even mentioning the regular console games...

On the subject of the eclipse, it turned out there was a great view of it from my background so Connie and I stayed up late to watch it. It was pretty cool.

Yeah, FB sharing implied the UK would see the eclipse, I kept going out in the rain and the moon was the same old yellow/ white it always was. I guess I am to far north or something.

I've never actually seen a blood moon or a full on solar eclipse. I'd love to see either

Hi! For things like that, you best bet is to ignore any times you see on the internet unless they specifically state a location. Local news is much more reliable.

I saw the Mega Pidgeot early this morning and thought for sure I was dreaming, 'cause like... besides me, who actually cares about Pidgeot? Well, apparently someone at Gamefreak, 'cause this is a real thing that's happening and God DAMN is it awesome and I can't wait aaaaaaa

shame it's doomed to be competitively useless next to Talonflame but still
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hi! With the right stats and ability it could be competitive. But yeah, Talonflame is pretty much the flier to beat right now. Maybe Mega Pidgeot could be more tank instead of sweeper?

Pidgeot has needed some love for a long time,

Every gen had a better bird at the beginning of the game.

I've always had a soft spot for Pidgeot though, always have one on the my team in games you can get them on the first route.

Was the first pokemon I ever caught and evolved all the way too,

Glad to see it getting some love.

Hey,

That mega Slowbro looks kind of displeased. Not fully upset or worried, just slightly annoyed, and not enough to even bother to try and get out of it's current situation.

So, I learned something interesting today. Apparently, my college does not recognize Columbus day as a holiday. I approve of this, because I see no reason to celebrate the "successes" of a mass murderer, but I'm kind of bummed out that I don't get a day to sleep in. Oh well, I only had one class today, so nothing to really complain about.

Speaking of something interesting, but nothing to really complain about, there is a tree outside my window that is so bright red that the room turns slightly pink when it's sunny out. It seems to be one of the only trees on campus that has changed color so drastically, too. How lucky I am.

Oh, and I'm getting my flu shot tomorrow. This is that first time I'll be getting it by myself, so that'll be an experience for me. Remember to wash your hands and get your flu shots, everyone! Getting sick is no fun, especially when it's the flu.

Stay radical, and healthy, people!

Howdy doo pals.

Mega Slowbro is actually my favorite thing. I looked at it and thought 'it's ridiculous'. I may have even thought it completely stupid. But then I looked at its face and realized the poor Slowbro feels the same way. It's thinking 'But Mega Audino and Mega Sharpedo look pretty rad. Why did I just become a spinning top?', thus warranting the slightly annoyed expression. I'm just going to train a Slowbro just so I can use its Mega Evolution.

…Huh? What do you mean it's been months since I've said anything…?! I'll have you know that's--… totally true actually. There may be a… Uh… certain reason to my sudden resurfacing. And perhaps I'll become a little more lively again. Or at least I'll check in more often than I have.
That awkward moment when all your attachments just die.
