Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
I have class before Thanksgiving, and food on Thanksgiving. Why the hell do I have class the day before Thanksgiving?
So, I'm trying not to collapse from stress and exhaustion. I've never had to work hard before, so I'm not used to it. As such I must know... How does one relieve stress?

Hi! Well, it certainly helps if you have at least one day a week when you can relax. If not, just try to grab half a day, or even an hour or two here and there to do something fun (either at home or somewhere else). It'll help keep you from getting too bogged down with work. Also, if at all possible, don't sacrifice sleep for work. Getting too little sleep will decrease both your mood and productivity.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Moi,
Huh. Lack of sleep decreases your productivity? Well, that explains a few things...
So, I have learned that my drawing style drastically changes when I'm in a mood other then my normal chill/zen mood. I got a little bit, dare I say, peeved in my programming class due to a few obnoxious classmates today. After that class, I was lucky enough to have a couple of free periods to unwind, so I decided to vent by drawing out my feelings. Hoe-lee gosh. Raw emotion makes for some great art, I'll tell ya what.
Speaking of drawing styles, I'm practicing drawing in a whole new style...again! This time, I'm taking a bit of a trip back in time. I'm practicing drawing in a 1930's cartoon-y style. To be honest, it's harder then you would expect. Especially for someone like me who's style normally goes more towards an ever-so slightly cartoon-ish but mainly realistic kind of style.
I have got a few ideas on how to better in this style though. Characters should be bouncy, round, and not have too many hard or straight edges. Go for a minimalist look. Make them look slightly cute and happy. Don't add too many details.
Also, with the bouncy, happy characters idea in mind, one of the ever prominent artist's dilemmas pops up again. When I draw characters showing a lot of emotion or motion, I tend to reflect that. This makes drawing in public very...awkward. I'm probably going to have a big, dopey smile on my face for the next week or so because of this.
Well, wish me luck on my drawing escapades!
Stay radical, people!

Hi! Posting from my new laptop. Yesterday's early Thanksgiving party was a lot of fun, though we ended up with way too much food. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it means I'll be eating pumpkin pie and cranberry sauce all week. Not so great for my diet, but otherwise cool.

So, my partner in crime and I have ironed out a lot of the concepts for the game I'm working on. Now that that's done, we need to buy the engine and start working on it. We have the division of labor fairly decided on, except we have NO idea which one of us should make the art assets. In any case, today was somewhat productive in that sense. How's life for everyone else?

Hi! Last day of classes before Thanksgiving break and second to last day period (though I'll still have one finals thing to run, a bunch of stuff to grade, and a number of "just come in to work because" days before the end of the semester.
In computer news, I had one other weird error crop up but it's fixed and now I just have two more programs to install and the new laptop will be totally set up and ready to go. And, now that I have plenty of extra disc space, I was able to install Rewrite, which I'm looking forward to starting soon (right after I finish Saya no Uta).

Moi,
I'm doin' fine, BFC. A bit chilly here and there's currently a bit of lake effect snow falling. There's supposed to be a bit of a storm passing through, I've heard.
Also, two of my friends who're in college now visited my other friends and I today. It was only for a few minutes though since I had to head home, but it was nice seeing them again.
So...not much else going on. I'm off of school for Thanksgiving break, so that's nice. For the next few days I'll just be here...chillin'...probably sleeping for the most part.
Anyway, stay radical people!

Hey.
Thanksgiving break! Where break means I really need to be doing work right now.
OR I could be looking at Cornell Daily Sun (our campus newspaper) articles from the 1930's about marching band back then....
Yeah, I think I'll do that.

Moi,
Got back from Grandparent's house for Thanksgiving dinner a few hours ago. So much food. I think I'm going to hibernate for the next few days...
Yeah, that's all I really wanted to say. Lots of good food was eaten. Hope all of you guys got some good food as well.

Hi! I've been rewatching the original Digimon series. I first watched it before I knew the difference between a good and bad dub but the English actually isn't bad. That said, some of the dialogue.. I really doubt there are so many corny lines in the original Japanese.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Moi,
Okay, I've woken up a bit from my food coma, so now I can reveal a bit more about going-ons and stuff like that.
My aunt and cousin came down from Washington state to visit us and my other cousin (who currently lives near us) for Thanksgiving. They have lived on the desert side of Washington for a long time now, so our annual 100+ inches of snow is a bit of a shock for them.
They're also here because my cousin (the one who lives near us) happens to now do ballet professionally and will be in 6 shows over the next 3 days for the Nutcracker. I'll be going to one of these shows at some point. I'm not really into ballet, but I do enjoy the music and I'm giving my cousin support. This is also my first time seeing her dance, so it should be fascinating for all involved.
Other than that, there's been quite a bit of snow fall so far. Hopefully tomorrow (or today, I guess) I'll be able to muster enough will power to crawl out of bed and fashion a new background for my avatar.
(Also, on an unrelated note, I recently have had a want to to purchase and read James Joyce's novel Finnegans Wake, just to say I read it [or even just read a few pages of it]. If you have never heard of this novel, I suggest you look it up and skim over a few pages or paragraphs of it. The text and plot of this book is said to resemble that of a dream. a.k.a. Mostly nonsense...and I like the sound of that.)

Aloha! Not much to report here; I worked a lot during Thanksgiving, although I did see Silver and the rest of my family. Well, most of the rest of my family.
As for shows I've been watching, I recently finished watching Ouran High School Host Club, at my girlfriend's behest. I must say, for a gag series it was very charming.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! Ouran is a favorite of mine. I've been slowly collecting the manga too.
Speaking of watching things, I saw both Catching Fire and Frozen over the holiday. Catching Fire was just as well done and true to the source material as The Hunger Games, so no complaints there. And Frozen is easily keeping Disney's streak of excellent movies going. The characters, story, and songs were all a lot of fun, 3D (as in the kind with the glasses) is the best I've seen in a while, and there's even a plot twist (ok, I predicted it way before it happened, but even I'd started to doubt my theory by the time it was actually revealed).

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
So, my laptop is literally falling apart, and as such I am obtaining a new one. I'm tempted to brag about the specs, but I won't. It's just nice that I'll have something that isn't 4 years old.
What I have seen of Ouran weirded me out (Read: Very little) but I like to give stuff a chance, so I should probably watch it.
You guys got a break? I got exactly one day of no school, Thanksgiving day. Of course, I already have none on Fridays, so it pretty much equates to a long weekend where nothing eventful happened because my life is boring and I'm actively trying to tempt fate every time I say that. Nothing ever happens here. What could possibly go wrong. Nothing could possibly change my life. Any other lines I can tempt fate with?

Oh, I didn't get a break; I was working the whole time, including Thanksgiving. Just ask Silver!
Aloha! I got in to the beta for Infinite Crisis, which is a MOBA (think League of Legends) based in the DC Universe, so I'm very pleased about that.
