Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! I'm off to Colorado tomorrow. But instead of going straight home I'm meeting up with my family and doing a bit of traveling for the rest of the week around the Denver area. As a result, I might not be online much for the coming week. Hopefully though, by the time I'm back at my parents' place, everyone will be on vacation and things will get a bit more lively around here.

Almost doooone just gotta finish editing that damn paper, turn it in Monday, and then I'm DONE and I can finally SLEEP
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hi! Just popping in briefly to say that I made it to Colorado safely. Like I said before, I may not be on a whole lot this week, depending on how busy my family is and what internet access is like.

'Lo, peeps. So I passed all my winter courses at college with decent grades and I am currently in the process of looking for a summer job. At the moment it's less about money and more about having something to do until September. Wish me luck.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
School is DONE! Far as I'm concerned, for good. I've technically got one semester left, but it'll either be a bunch of stupid people Holocaust classes or whatever stupid people electives I feel like, if I can pass the Japanese language test. In other words, super easy mode.
I made it through Shakespeare, Twain, Milton, and Senior Seminar AT THE SAME TIME. And it was... surprisingly easy. I expected much more from that Shakespeare class, since everyone made it out to be super tough and all, but I cleared every assignment with an A... having read only sparknotes. Finished Twain with 115 as my final grade, don't know how that happened. Milton was... well, I guess that one was kinda tough, but I liked the professor so it didn't seem too bad. Aaand Senior Sem was a joke.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Hi! Congrats, Silver!
So, I met up with my family in Colorado Springs on Sunday. The reason being that my brother is visiting and, despite having a year of chiropractic school left, he wanted to use some of his vacation time to check out some towns and cities where he thinks he might want to open a practice after he graduates. So we're spending the week exploring some areas in Eastern Colorado. Reminds me just how much I'd rather live out here (or one of my other favorite locations) than in Northern Florida...
That aside, it's a decent trip. Come Sunday it'll be back to my parents' place. If nothing comes up, I'll be there through June then spending the rest of the summer in Hawaii and/or Japan. Haven't finalized plans yet because I'm waiting to see how a couple things turn out (which could potentially result in not being able to spend all summer traveling), but I'm going to go ahead and make plans, get plane tickets, and what not next week weather I've heard or not. I can't wait forever, especially if I want affordable airfare.
Side note... The dates for Otakon this year are the weekend right before I need to be back to work. If I could end my summer vacation in Baltimore and get a flight back to Florida that Sunday afternoon or evening, I might just be able to go...

Hey.
...what's an A?
Actually, kidding. If I get a similar grade on my chem final as I have on the two prelims, I'll pull off one of the legendary A+'s. LE GASP AN A+ AT CORNELL WHAT IS THIS?!
But seriously.... what's an extra credit?
IN OTHER NEWS my finals don't start 'til Thursday and don't end 'til the following Thursday UGH I HAVE FIVE FINALS SHOOT ME NOW
Also, I broke my hand playing softball. I was tagging a guy out and he was running so fast he fractured one of my metacarpals! Then I played three more innings and we won the intramural championships. True story.
Finals + broken hand = not fun
IF ONLY MY DIFF EQ FINAL COULD BE THAT EASY

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
It technically wasn't "extra" credit. The professor was very, very strict about due dates, didn't accept any late papers or makeup quizzes at all. To make up for that, she included one extra paper and quiz grade so that missing just one wouldn't totally ruin everything because, as she said, everyone has off days.
Well, I didn't. I turned in every paper and every quiz, just missed a couple points on things here and there, so... I ended up with 115/100, although total possible points was 120. And... well, the class was generally really easy, that'll help too. High-level LITT class my eye. This wasn't much harder than Algebraic problem solving... though, at least I didn't feel like I got dumber from this one...
Also, Otakon! Yes, this is good news! Hopefully it'll work out.

Hi! Just thinking things through, Otakon is very possible. Especially if I want to make it to a friend's wedding earlier that week. That said, I haven't looked at flights yet, which could be a pretty big factor, so we'll see. I want to have everything for summer booked by the end of next week though, so I'll keep you posted.

Re: Return of the Revenge of the Son of Saying Hi to Josiah!
Aloha! So my friend challenged our Dungeons and Dragons group to write a story about a historical figure about why he's a historical figure. Because I hate having fun, I decided to write an epic poem in dactyllic hexameter.
Kill me now.

Hi everyone,
I'm going to Japan tomorrow so I won't be replying to any messages or getting online much, if at all. I'll be back in two weeks!
See you all on my return!

Hi! Have fun, Shauni! Stevenson, I'd be rather interested in seeing that poem when you're done.
On my end, there's a couple more days of exploring the Denver area before heading home to Grand Junction. It's been pleasant, but not especially exciting. Highlights include the old arcade at Manitou Springs and walking around Boulder and Fort Collins (both of which are really nice towns).
