MK watched as the robots and the... odd trio of enemies appeared. It was at this point he removed his left hand from stabilizing the shotgun, reaching into his pocket, producing a pair of sunglasses. He flicked them open to the side, placing them upon his face, and narrowed his eyes toward the group. As his focus grew, his vision seemed to alter some, and he felt like his focus let him see every little last detail. He grinned, and brought the shotgun up, aiming at the hot dog man.

"I think I can get used to this. He spouted off, ready for the call from Josiah.

"Wait, hold on, guys! Why are you going all fight mode? They really seem quite friendly! Don't those three guys seem sorta familiar? I feel like... I feel like I should remember them... but I haven't posted in an intro topic in like two years, so I can't quite remember..."

As he pondered, the rest of the party sunk further and further into their state of apparent bloodlust. Silver eventually realized that there would be no moderating this, and accepted that the inevitable outcome was to accept the flamebait and tell them off. Physically.

"...All right, ok, do what you want. But it's really not fair that you guys have all these cool powers and weapons and stuff and all I have is a comma and a period on a chain and this stylin' green hat. Though, it is a very stylin' green hat," and of course this meant he could not resist wearing the feathered cranium accessory. The part where he started to sprout feathers, his arm joints inverted to form wings, he put on a fair bit of belly fat, and eventually became a full Pidgeot (wearing a stylin' green hat)... that part was a bit unexpected. "Well... ok. I guess I can deal with this. Bring it on, guys."
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Saber was apprehensive. "Do we really need to jump so quickly to fighting? We can't let our genre savvyness get ahead of us--what if it's a bait because they know we're genre savvy and they're just playing us or testing us or something?" Again, she paused for a moment as she thought over what she'd just said, and found that the argument held little ground. "Er... well... I guess I'm just trying to say that jumping to violence so quickly can lead to making mistakes. Sure, they've shown themselves to be creepy as hell, but have they really been that antagonistic? I mean, every time someone's a jerk to me at school, I don't turn around and punch them in the face, y'know? An all-out battle just seems like a bit much for a reaction to creepy doppelgängers." A pause, and then a shrug. "Y'know, just putting my two cents in, if it matters."

Simeon, still crouched in his feline combat stance, merely folded his leonine ears in mild annoyance.

"If it's any consolation, I haven't attacked, yet. I don't know about the others, but in my case, I am simply exercising caution and I'm waiting for the perceived enemy make the first move. I'd rather look silly participating in a simple test over having to suffer having been backed into a trap."

Josiah shrugged. "Doppelgangers plus dark color schemes plus suspicious dialogue? I mean, when are people like that ever not evil? Not to mention that most of use ended up here with weapons, which implies that we need to fight something. Remember, I'm a writer, I'm pretty good at figuring out how stories are going to go."

He cast a look at Silver, Saber, and MK.

"And even if that isn't enough for you guys, I'm pretty sure we can all agree that the whole spam bot army over there needs to be dealt with. With can decide about the doppelgangers and Silver intro buddies later. Let's go!"

He charged, bringing his blade up in an arc to decapitate the first of the spam bots. Spinning around, he fired at another, blowing a large hole in its chest.

"Well," he mused silent, "at least they're not the porn variety..."

A spambot was sneaking up on the warband... but before it could pounce with deals on free movies and coupons for the nearest fast food restaurant chain, Simeon caught wind of it's oily stench and tore into it like a feral animal. The moment Simeon shredded his way into the machine's vital circuitry, the spambot promptly exploded into scrapmetal and chunks of what looked like overcooked bacon.

Hungry as he was, Simeon had to stomp down the urge to eat the chunks of bacon-like mystery meat. For all he knew, they could be poisoned or something.

Oh well.

Literally tearing apart more spambots would be distraction enough.

{{Unbelievably, Simeon beat me to making that literal exact joke. Well played, sir.}}

Silver, when you transformed in to a Pidgeot, your Keen Eyes noticed that "Josiah" dropped something shiny when he left.

Upon Simeon destroying a spambot, the strange creatures leap in to action. Super Hot Dog Man flies towards Gar, the one looking least prepared for combat. Poodle bounds towards Simeon, growling and snarling, and the strange, mutated Lampshroom sends a blast of crackling electricity at Matrix Kirby.

MK turned his attention to the lampshroom as he saw the crackling of the lightning. As the bolt moved toward him, the closer and closer it got, the slower and slower time seemed to move. Only a bit faster than the bolt, he managed to roll to the right. As he got out of the path of the lightning, time resumed back to normal, and the bolt just flew right on through where he had been the moment before. He turned his head, watching it go.

"Ok... That was slightly trippy... But cool."

He turned back toward the lampshroom, and began to charge toward it. He brought the shotgun to his right, pulling the trigger, and unleashing a shot on one spambot. He quickly cocked the gun again, shooting at one that lunged at him. He leapt over the collapsing pile of exploding-meat, still charging after the lampshroom, cocking it one more time.

"Oh dear..." muttered Saber as she grasped the lightsaber at her side. "Err, how do I work this thing... there we go!" With a satisfying nyyyeeow sound, the glowing blade of her lightsaber appeared. Not entirely sure how I did that, but not altogether important right now. She gave the blade one quick twirl in her hand (I knew running around and fighting with my friends with sticks when we were little would pay off someday!), she dashed toward the nearest spambot.

Swinging her blade in a small arc, Saber easily severed a spambot in two. The heat from the blade cooked some of the meat that appeared shortly thereafter, giving a surprisingly nice smell. Not stopping to enjoy the smell of freshly-cooked meat, Saber turned her attention to yet another spambot, spinning and striking this one down just as easily as the first.

Josiah moved quickly between the spam bots, alternating between cutting them down with his blade and firing on those that tried to get too close. He seemed to be stronger and faster in this virtual world (if that's what it was) than in the real world.

"Maybe the gravity is lower here." he mused. "Or the whole place is operating on anime and video game physics. Well, either way," he spun around, cutting three spam bots in half in one struke, "it's kind of fun."

More and more spambots appeared as they were cut down, replacing the falling and then some.

You all hear a voice in your ear. "This is Stevenson--I figured out how to access the PM system. What are you guys doing? Lights started flickering in here, and I'm getting a lot of activity on the logs. A lot of new accounts are being created...but, er, I'd rather not get in to their names."

You notice that the robots seem to be trying to cut off your exit while the three creatures are mostly attempting to attack you and ignoring both the robots and the exit.

"Oh, and I should mention that you can just talk to me--if you think in your head that you're talking to me, I'll hear it. This place is so weird."

"I wonder..." Josiah paused. "I'm the admin here! So let's try an IP BAN!!!"

He yells out the last part really loudly it hope of something happening, since he has no idea how to actually ban an IP address inside this world.

"Oooh, shiny..." Silver said, eyeing Bizarro Josiah's discarded treasure. He flew up above, prepared to dive in and grab it, but the Spambots surged forward and blocked his path. "Hey, hey! Get out of here, you little vermin!" He created a strong gust of wind to knock them backwards, but it only stalled them momentarily. "It can't be helped. I'll have to use 'that'," he muttered, readying the semicolonunchaku. Gripped the comma end in a clawed talon, the period half released the spikes hidden inside. Flying above, swinging it mercilessly, the spambots below were reduced to dented and flattened meatsacks.

With the obstacles out his path, Silver swooped down and rested his Pidgeot rear on top of his glistening target. "You guys handle the rest - I'm just gonna be here... incubating. Ok?"

Silver's butt feels the imprint of a key. Not, as one might expect, an ornate, fantasy-type key, but just a regular, house-key type key that you might see on any normal person's key-ring.

Also, nothing happens.

"Yeah, I, er...yeah, I don't think that did anything, Josiah."

Simeon managed to bat away the rabid Poodle with a well-timed swipe of his paw and roared back his answer to the Poodle's half-coherent invectives. (The majority of the English-only speaking members of the party would only hear roaring and snarling... Believe me, one would not want to hear what Poodle's really trying to say.)

Poodle snapped its frothing jaws, bounding back toward the lion-man with a full telegraphed intention to go for Simeon's throat. Simeon managed to duck just in time and, with feline speed and agility, used Poodle's flying momentum against it.... by grabbing the Poodle by the legs, swinging it around and flinging the frothing dog into the nearest pavilion. The sound of splintering bones accompanied and sadistically sweetened the sound of splintering wood.

The battle was far from over... Simeon turned his attentions back to literally shredding the Spambot army, but remained aware. The Poodle might be broken, but he's not out, yet.

... Getting dramatic again, aren't we, ol' Simeon-boy? The lion-man mused, Better not get used to it here.

The sound of a ... Pigeot laying an egg? interrupted Simeon's musings. But... Silver's the only Pidgeot here! ... Since when do male pidgeots lay eggs? That was a random and disturbing thought indeed.
