Forum Wars: The Pebble Version Forums Roleplay

Post by Stevenson »

So, in short, this is a roleplay where you play yourself, on these very forums, or a VR, evil-infested version thereof, anyway.

Specifically, you find yourself pulled through cyberspace to inhabit a virtual space representing these very forums where you will find, as the story unfolds, that it has been taken over by an evil presence, and you must overcome evil versions of yourselves and other forumites, gaining new weapons and powers through your journey. It will be a fairly open adventure with few scripted events: the overworld, as it were, is essentially the main page of this forum, with doorways in to each subforum. Now, each subforum might operate under totally different rules, but be warned! The evil forces, and the dark forumites, will be trying to destroy you in one way or another in each place.

As for your character sheet, it will be fairly simple, your name, which I expect is just going to be your forum name, and a rough description of what abilities and weapons you would have, although you will have to earn all but the most basic by accomplishing tasks and freeing sections of the forum. For an example, I'll make one for a forumite I don't expect to see (because Stevenson is mostly going to be Mission Control in this RP, although if you ask him he might come along)

Name: Immortal Servant
Appearance: A caucasion human male with blond hair with red streaks in it, a green shirt with a skull, and jeans.
Special Weapons: A staff of +1 Anonymity
Powers: Flame-control, Flame-resistance

So maybe that staff makes it difficult for people to find him, and his powers means he has fire powers. They don't have to be meta internet jokes by the way, and they don't have to be superpowers or medieval type weapons either. Potential is unlimited, although I will be giving you equipment based on what you do, so don't give yourselves too ultimate weapons, haha.

Yeah, this is the one that's been in the works. We'll see how it works out.

Look at this signature. Isn't it the funniest and most hilarious signature you've ever seen?

I am the artist formerly known as Matrix Kirby.

Oh! Yes. But you can't use Olive(808000) or Indigo (000080) Because I'm using those for, well, I'd call them DM characters in a tabletop game.

So, like this?

Name: Saber Knight
Appearance: Going to devaite slightly from my normal appearnce sprite and go closer to my actual appearance by saying shoulder-length brown, slightly curly hair with some tan highlights. Caucasian with blue eyes, wearing a white collared shirt with a black vest (switching up the usual white jacket with a black shirt) with jeans and boots.
Special Weapons: Blue lightsaber
Powers: Some basic Force-y powers, like moving stuff with her mind and jumping extra high.
Text colour: Let's go with this blue!

Exactly so. Text color would be nice, as well.

Huh... this is kinda like that roleplay we had been planning all the way back then like BACK THEN like the freakin' neoboards back then. Well, it's about time, yeah?

Name: Silver
Appearance: I'mma ago with ROM version Silver - the human kind one.
Special Weapons: Semicolonunchaku and a Stylin' Green Hat
Powers: Green Hat Pidgeot mode (transforms into a Green Hat Pidgeot when equipped with a Stylin' Green Hat)

Gray Text!
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Now this is cool.

Name: Josiah

Special Weapons: FFXIII style gunblade.
Powers: Awesome martial arts skills (on a anime/super human level, since this is a RP), ROM monster summoning
Text Color: Orange

Might as well join; more incentive to stay active here now that I've returned. /o/

Name: Mandi
Appearance: 5'3", Asian (Chinese, if you want to be specific), with brown eyes and straight dark brown hair (can be mistaken for black) reaching the middle of the back. Wears glasses. My normal clothes are boring, so I'll be designing and drawing some fantastic mesh of my various online game characters, then update this profile with a link. -w-
Weapon: A bow. I'll be drawing this, too.
Special Powers: Magic (of the offensive kind, little to no healing abilities) and archery on a physically impossible level (including shooting multiple arrows at once)
Text Color: Steel Blue

To answer Josiah's question, yes, mod powers are relevant, but you don't have them yet because the evil version of you has taken control of them. That goes for the other mods too, of course.

In that case, I'll edit that out of my post in favor of ROM monster summoning.

It was lonely... you promised you'd write to me, but you never did... the months passed by, and I still thought of you every day, but you never called. I never got any letters from you.

So eventually, I started to lose faith... I thought you had been killed in that terrible, terrible war. Or maybe that you had forgotten about me. It's been so long, you probably found another girl over there... I never stopped loving you, but I didn't think you cared about me anymore, so welcoming you back just would have been too painful for me... I'm sorry. I'm glad you've come back home *sniff*

Oh, Immortal Servant isn't actually a character. You can have pyrokinesis if you want.
