Re: THE BIRTHDAY THREAD
Hey, Puyon! I'm going to post your birthday message here, because coming up with two unique facebook birthday posts in the same day is too much work (and I don't want your twin to feel left out)! Also, by posting yours here, I can make the content of the post reflect my placement decision, thus I have to use even less creative effort to make two original, witty messages!
So happy birthday and stuff. I'm not lazy at all.
Oh, and sorry I'm stealing Colly. If you wanted to have some big old "all the family is here yay" sort of birthday, anyway; if you wanted to get rid of her then you're welcome.

"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

It was lonely... you promised you'd write to me, but you never did... the months passed by, and I still thought of you every day, but you never called. I never got any letters from you.
So eventually, I started to lose faith... I thought you had been killed in that terrible, terrible war. Or maybe that you had forgotten about me. It's been so long, you probably found another girl over there... I never stopped loving you, but I didn't think you cared about me anymore, so welcoming you back just would have been too painful for me... I'm sorry. I'm glad you've come back home *sniff*

Guys! Guys! It's my birthday today now! Facebook says so! Isn't time travel a hoot?

Re: THE BIRTHDAY THREAD
Hey! Yesterday is too the proper day; I saw it on the internet!
But thanks for the well-wishes all the same. Now that I'm legally 21, I'm gonna go out and get totally drunk!
... Except beer's really gross and wine's out of college student price range, so none for me.
I guess I could ask my mom to get some as a birthday present? But I'd rather have my ice cream cake...

Re: THE BIRTHDAY THREAD
Depends on the wine. If you can find it, Thunderbird is a cheap wine within a college student budget :)

Re: THE BIRTHDAY THREAD
I've yet to find an alcohol that I actually like. Not that I've tried very hard, but I've tasted a number of different things here and there, usually because someone insisted or it was a free sample. The only half decent ones were umeshu (Japanese plum wine) and a coconut flavored shouchu (Japanese sweet potato liquer) and I wouldn't especially want to just drink a glass of those either. Really, the only alcoholic drinks I've really enjoyed had so much other stuff in them that I could barely taste the alchohol, which kind defeats the purpose. Unless you just want to get drunk, I guess, which holds absolutely no appeal for me. So I tend not to drink at all, which keeps me sober and saves me a lot of money. I mean, considering how I am with food, if I did drink I'd want to try whatever fancy "hey, that looks interesting" drinks I came across in restaurants, and those things are expensive.

Re: THE BIRTHDAY THREAD
Yeah. I've been recommended by friends to try some fruity drink where you can't taste the alcohol, or a "mudslide" which apparently just tastes like a chocolate milkshake... but then why should I bother? If it's gonna taste the same as it did without any alcohol, why should I pay twice as much for it? I just don't get it.
...But that's not why I came here! I'm here to wish Doodleshark and Faustgy a happy birthday! So happy birthday guys! You're not old enough to get drunk yet, so don't do it!
