Hey guys, grass here!

Ahhhhh, Spring Break, Nice weather, no work (at least for me), perfect for me!
I feel so FREE! I also have a bit going on, but not today! On saturday, I am skipping in a curling bonspiel! First time skipping in anything other than practice! I think our team will do well, because we have good curlers, so cannot wait! So, with that under my hoof, I cannot wait!

See you guys later!
I thought Snivy was a grass version of Cyndaquil, that's the reason for my nickname, oh yeah check out my Youtube channel, grassaquilUV. (easy to remember, isn't it?)

You were aiming for all kinds of crazy schools though, weren't you, Saber? Don't worry about that sort of thing at all. I don't think they accept humans. You have to be an alien, esper, or time-traveler to get in.
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hi! Not so much an alien, esper, or time traveler. More like a member of a minority race and religion who also happens to be homosexual. That will also win you a whole lot of scholarships. Or you can just be really rich, that always works.

That too. But I think they'd still accept Saber if she were an alien, esper, or time traveler. And since she's not rich, a minority, or part of some weird religion (that we know of), she'd have to be an alien, esper, or time traveler to get in. Or a homosexual, I guess. I didn't know you automatically got in for that. Go on, Saber, get yourself a girlfriend and go to school! ...No?

I don't think I was ever asked my sexual orientation, but maybe I missed that question... I should have written my essay about how I was an alien, esper or time traveler. Just to see their reaction. Aw yee.

Anywho, after about two hours of moping yesterday (it really did suck waaay more than I could have ever imagined), I checked my email and I found something from my 3rd choice school saying that "although the Ivy League schools won’t notify students of their admission decisions until the end of the month, it may help with your planning to know that you are very likely to be admitted to [insert school here]" So I'm not sure how to interpret that... if they send me something like that and then don't admit me two weeks from now, then they're huge jerks. Anywho, so I ended up going on their website and hitting up their marching band page (this was one of my few "if I go here I'll continue marching band because they actually have a respecatable band" schools) and I kind of fell in love with the band. Because it sounds so similar to mine, only better. The trumpet section has their own website that talks about being awesomer than the other secions and how trumpets are the coolest things to grace the world ever.... yes.

One of my main worries about college was that a couple of colleges were high on my list because, academically, they're awesome and I liked the location, but I wasn't sure if I'd get along with the people 'cos they are notoriously preppy. Now I can tell there's definitely kids that I can get along with at this school, so I'm really excited.

It's just so weird to have months of dreams dashed in an instant (honestly one of the most surreal experiences of my life... for a bit, I was honestly just waiting to wake up from what felt like a bad dream), but I'm not one to mope for too long... back on track, and hoping for the best with the rest of my schools!

Hi.

Spring Break has started for me (ya for no school on Fridays where I go :) ) though do have a book review test thing tomorrow/saturday and then my LTA test yesterday til Monday (nervous about this one) and then my German History test on Sunday/Monday at the end of Spring Break. I'm not going to have much of a break at my rate.

Though some good new (for me and my cat) my cats belly/chest did not have to be shaved today! The Knots she had were able to be gotten out thus saving such beautiful fur from having to grow back...now if only I could just keep up with her brushing more often...

Howdy!

I've been trying to download an ISO for KHII Final mix+, but it feels like the very universe itself is trying to prevent me from getting it, with such tactics as 30KB/s download speed (which for a 2.83 gb file is not a fun time), to internet cut out every single night that I've tried to download over night. Hopefully I can get it working before I go back home on Friday...a 3 hour car ride where I COULD have been playing one of my favorite games would suck.

It was lonely... you promised you'd write to me, but you never did... the months passed by, and I still thought of you every day, but you never called. I never got any letters from you.

So eventually, I started to lose faith... I thought you had been killed in that terrible, terrible war. Or maybe that you had forgotten about me. It's been so long, you probably found another girl over there... I never stopped loving you, but I didn't think you cared about me anymore, so welcoming you back just would have been too painful for me... I'm sorry. I'm glad you've come back home *sniff*

'Ello.

I feel like laughing in triumph because I finally finished my term paper, and I went well past the minimum word count requirement. I didn't expect it to take me such a long time, but then again, I didn't anticipate the distraction factor of the songs I was listening to for my paper.
Maybe there was a downside to picking one of my favorite artists as my topic after all.

Anyway, Saber, don't let the rejection get you down too much... Or at least, that's what I normally would say. You seem to be handling it pretty well on your own. If it's any consolation, though, I was rejected by my top choice when I was applying for college as well, and I thought I had a REALLY good chance to accepted or at least put on the wait list. Nope. Rejection.

To add onto what Josiah and Silver had already said, I think gender and major are also pretty major factors. I mean, hypothetically speaking, if two students, one male and one female, submitted identical applications to the same engineering school, the female one generally has a higher chance of getting accepted than the male, simply because there aren't as many female engineers. ...That might change in a couple of years, though. But hey, just an example.

Off to go study some more.

Now that's not always true, Faustgy... there are some nice Christian colleges that won't accept female engineering majors at all, and only teach the women-types how to be nurses and teachers. But outside of that...

Well, I went to community college and didn't bother applying elsewhere since I knew I'd get in. So I don't really know about the standards for college acceptance, but there was one thing that always bothered me... Why should I struggle my whole life to get into some fancy pants smart-ass college... only to have to pay hundreds of thousands to go there, thus putting me in debt for the rest of my life no matter what career path I take?

Hi! Thing is, nearly every non-ivy league non specialty colleges and universities will accept you so long as you get a decent SAT or ACT score. As for ivy league schools, they're great for prestiege and they probably make it easier to get a good start in a few careers like doctor or lawyer. But even then, after you get your first job no one cares too much about your education anymore, it's all about your work experience. So it's probably not worth it to get too stressed about admissions. If you get in an ivy league school that's great but, as Silver said, they're are overpriced anyway. And it's not like you get such a better education there compared to a good normal college.

Hey.

Got into Syracuse today! Doubt I'll go there, but, hey, acceptances are fun :P Managed to snag a merit scholarship along with the financial aid package, too! Schweet.

Ehhhh I'm an achiever. It's who I am. Anywho, in the end, I might end up just going to UMASS anyways!

DI competition tomorrow! Wheeeeeee we're definitely not QUITE ready, but we'll be able to pull it off as long as something doesn't go horribly wrong... which it usually does!

My Dad would try to get us to put down that we were Native American, because our grandma used to say that we descended from Mohawks somehow. But we always checked off white because I highly doubt it.

Congrats on getting into Syracuse Saber! And don't worry if that other school didn't take you. If I had a college I'd let you in. Not because you're my friend. Because you are smart. Very smart.

In other news tried a Shamrock Shake for the first time this week. I usually don't like minty stuff, but for some reason I liked it.

Also Lit teachers in college are all kooky to at least some degree. But some are good kooky and others are bad kooky. I think my current teacher is bad kooky. Part of my paper involves identifying how the idea of "being" is articulated in The Importance of Being Earnest, and what questions it raises in relation to gender.
...I'm getting somewhere at least.

Aye, all Lit professors are kooky, that's for sure. I've had some bad kooky ones too... I took a playwriting class last semester - yeah, I should have known better, Lit AND Drama, there's no way it could end well - and he basically spent the whole time telling us that we'd never have good ideas. Like, he'd say that if you just think of an idea, no matter what it'll be stupid or bad or boring. So instead you should just zone out and see what comes to your mind without thinking. Yeah... first day of class, he turned off the lights, told us to close our eyes and said, "imagine that your head is a balloon, and your body is the string." ...Yeah I'm pretty sure he was on drugs. And was basically telling us to use them to write. I, of course, did NOT "imagine my head was a balloon", and actually consciously thought about the stuff I wrote. And what did he say about it after reading it? "You can't make this stuff up." Well. Yes, I believe I did.

Bad kooky all the same. I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to spend four hours a week insulting people's intelligence.

Hi! Shamrock shakes? The best green drink is green tea frappacinos, hands down.
