Okay, I knew being in college was going to mean a lot of work. But...man. This is gonna take some getting used to. I would say I think I'm getting the hang of it, but that's just asking for things to get worse. :P
My parents wanted me to come home this weekend, and I was so nervous that if I did I wouldn't get my homework done. I started up on it again the second I got home :P Just yesterday I wrote an English paper and drew three full-body self portraits. And now I'm sitting here very confused as to what to do because while I still have homework to complete the work requires me to be at school. I shoulda brought my pen tablet home with me. But work aside, being in college is pretty cool. I just gotta work out a schedule so I'm not devoting every minute of free time to work. Dangit I'm using the :P emote too many times.

Anywho, I went to Typhoon Lagoon when I was younger. It was fun, especially the waterslides. The only problem was that whenever the wave came in the tide pool everyone would start flipping out. I tried to bodysurf once, but ended up crashing into the back of some guy. I don't think he even noticed though. Did you see the little buckets of ice cream with little spoon shovels? Cause I thought that was adorable. The guy using a real shovel and a real bucket, however, was not so adorable.

Hey Fens~ I mean, friends.

Yes! School starts on Tuesday! I finally get to see my real life friends again that are closest to my age! But I still will never get my schedule until Tuesday! I will be wandering the halls and be lost! I don't even know the exact location of my homeroom! I waited til the total last minute to finish my Summer Reading and Math! I am a Pro Procrastinator!

In other news... ohmigod I'M SO HAPPY. My dad pre-ordered Disgaea 4 for me, as a late Birthday gift, I don't care if it doesn't ship out 'til September 9th, it's going to be worth it.
Then again, I still don't have a PS3. But a pre-order and it's bonuses only costs 60$ put together once. So it's totally worth it. Just trust me on this one.

Moi,

Well, I'm starting school on Sept. 6th...you know, (technically) tomorrow! And I'm still awake at 1:30am! Not a very good start to the school year...Ah well, I'll get to see my friends again, meet some new teachers, and show off my fancy moleskine notebooks.

So...go to sleep now and maybe sleep until 10:00am, or stay up all day and go to sleep...probably around 7:00pm...I think I can stand getting used to being tired.

Hi! College can be busy at times, Sira, but it's not always that bad. It's part time management and part which classes you choose each semester. And yeah, I saw the ice cream buckets.

Not much going on with me at the moment, just getting stuff done before I have to get back to work tomorrow.

Hey!

I'm spending most of my Labor Day on Runescape and doing my AP and chemistry homework. Would go outside, if only it hadn't rained... I'm just gonna post in Saber's roleplay then I'll go chill out with my friends later.

Peace out!

I don't know why the hell I am even alive anymore dammit. My life moves too fast to enjoy the one good thing I have going for me. Of course even if it did slow down a bit for me, my family would find some damn way to ruin it for me anyway. Well, i'm going to stop talking about my misery for a while. My class this year is okay so far. Not very many issues, 'cept the fact that everyone in my class believes me to be an emo/vampire/completely void of emotion.

Hi! Sorry things still aren't going well Marluxia. I can't offer much more advice without knowing the specifics of your situation, but if you're that depressed you really should see a doctor about it. As for meeting people in class, just try to be a little more outgoing. Go up and talk to some one you think you might get along with sometime. Maybe try and act a bit more cheerful (even if you really aren't). It couldn't hurt.

Sorry I haven't posted in the Pokémon RP yet. Been busy trying to get a bunch of material done for my classes. So far I'm making pretty good progress and, if that keeps up, things should be calming down shortly. If I don't get a chance to post later today, I'll be sure to do so tomorrow night.

Hey.

So... on a note similar to Marluxia's, I was talking to my friend today and, for the first time in person, he started talking to me about his depression. He beats around the bush a RIDICULOUS amount ("Hey, Saber, do you remember which model you use for statisticis when you have a set number of trials?" "Uh, Binomial, I think?" "If the probability of an event occuring is 50%, what's the probability that three events will all fail?" "Uhm... I'm not sure I remember the model perfectly, but I think it'd be 3 choose 0... er..." "So, saying that the probability of someone living when they attempt suicide is 50/50, then what would be the chances they'd fail every time?") but I eventually discovered that he attempted suicide again. I was too scared to ask for the details, but I did my best to reassure him that I was there for him, but he's convinced that no one is actually there for him no matter what I say. I tried my best to say something, anything reassuring, but nothing seemed to help at all. I feel awful. I thought he was doing fine! I mean, we'd been laughing and joking just a few days ago... agh. I'm so worried about this kid... I was impressed I managed to keep my composure, though, considering seeing this kid be so depressed in public was just so awful.

On a lighter note, I have my first BC Calc test tomorrow! Yay!

...Whoops.
I think I might've forgotten to send my AP scores to this art school, and as a result I have to drag myself out of bed tomorrow morning and take a writing placement exam at 8:30 AM. @_@ Stupid, stupid me...
I hope I still know how to write essays...

Konnichiwa. Today during a break in the orientation schedule, the two peer mentors led my group in an activity where we drew our name using our favorite animal. I drew a bunch of birds with conveniently long tails that could be curved to fit the letters of my name. Some other people used a different animal for each letter, or put all of the letters into one drawing of an animal. It was fun. /o/

Moi,

Well, for the first time ever, I was actually sick enough in school, that I had to go home. I woke up with a 102.8 degree F temperature, but I didn't feel sick enough to stay home, but by the time I got to school, my friends were telling me I looked terrible. I stayed for homeroom, but halfway through first period, (I had a free that period) I felt so light-headed and weak, my senior friend walked with me over to the nurses' office. Apparently, if you have a temperature over 100.5 F, you shouldn't come to school (as to not get any other students sick), and you need to stay home for a day. So far, my temp. hasn't come down, so I'm pretty sure I'll be staying home tomorrow...but I also should finish any homework that I need to finish now and tomorrow.

Oh, also, even when I'm feeling terrible, I still try to keep a bit of a sense of humor. It's kind of in my nature (although everyone else thinks I'm just a bit loopy for my fever. Heh.).

Hi! You should probably talk to that friend's parents Saber and tell them what you know. If they know he's in such serious shape, they'll probably take him to a doctor or at least keep a much closer eye on him. Even if that means breaking confidence, keeping someone alive takes precedence over things like that.

Hope you feel better soon, Poison!

So, I found out that, despite all my hard work last week, the stuff for the game program didn't end up on the agenda for the approval meeting. There's always next month's meeting, but the reason I was told to rush all that paperwork in the first place was that, if it didn't make it into this month's meeting, it wouldn't get approved in time for the spring semester. So, at the moment, I'm not even sure if the game program is going to start in the spring. If it doesn't, that's really going to suck. It's already been delayed once (it was originally supposed to start this fall) and I took this job to teach game design, not random computer classes.

Hi!

Hope your fever's better, Poison. Yeah, I know we all want to go home from school, but being sick isn't fun either. Hope you're feeling well, now!

In other news, the past three days have been quite a bummer, but today was great! I feel really accomplished for having an 85 B on my science test on my first try. I wish I could say the same for my classmates who mostly got low C's and D's. Pre-AP Chemistry is so tough, much harder than World History AP in my opinion... Though I am excited for the actual experiments coming up in the class! Anywho, I'll be hanging out with a lot of my friends over the weekend, plus more AP homework.

Peace out!

Moi,

Well, My fever has gone down and now I'm just coughing and sneezing a lot...so I guess I could say I'm a bit better. I'm just slightly worried about the amount of homework I've accumulated over the past two days...I might as well try to get a bit ahead in some subjects *checks time* ...tomorrow! I'll get right on it tomorrow!

Hi! Nothing exciting going on this weekend. I might go somewhere Friday though, if the weather is good. Other than that, I have two meetings I need to go to at work this coming week (both taking place outside my normal working hours <.< ), and I might check out the University of Florida's Japanese club since it's not limited to students and it'd be nice to meet some people.

See, with any of my other friends, I would... but in his case, I'm not sure if it'll do more good than bad. He and his parents do not get along, and there was even one time where they got into an argument and he shoved his mom and she fell over. His mom then called the cops on him. They know he attempted suicide once (to my knowledge) and they did little to nothing about it. If anything, we're thinking of telling one of the school social workers (since one of my friends is tight with her due to other friend issues), though he's had meetings with her in the past and they haven't helped much.

Once again on a lighter note, first football game was yesterday! It was against our rival (well... we kind of have two, and they happen to be the first and last game of the season) and the game started off... awful for us (we fumbled the kickoff.... go us). However, in the second half, our luck totally turned (several interceptions!) and we ended up winning! Whoo! Oh, and our marching band kicks their marching band's butt. They can't even play and march their first song yet. Ha! Since it was our first show (which we weren't ready for. Thank you band director for teaching us the drill to the first two songs without having us play and march the first song until the last practice before the game) I was kind of nervous that everything would fall apart, but we kept it together, which is awesome!
