Moi,

Congratulations Kaida! (Aww...cuddling on the couch watching a good show. Sounds like an awesome start!)

So, I finally got my schedule for school! It looks pretty good, and I have at least one free period every day. (Except for day 1's in the spring. Looks like those days will be a "remember to grab something from the vending machines/bring something from home or else you'll starve" sort of days.) I've heard rumors about some of the teachers I have, but I'm pretty sure that as long as I go with my strategy from last year (stay on every single teachers good side.), I think I'll be fine.

Hmmm...Actually, there is one thing I wanted to take that isn't on my schedule. It's a computer programming intro class. I guess I'll have to talk to my consoler about that, although, if I decide to take that, It'll make my schedule a bit more packed...well, I can stand not having a free period first thing in the morning for days 2-6. (Where the class will most likely go if I get it.)

So yeah, 10th grade in my school means, this year, we'll be taking Health and Living Environment (a.k.a.: Biology), two classes that, while having useful information, I kind of could go without. Being the daughter of a nurse, you get taught about lots of stuff early on.

Anyways...not much else going on. Just working on some more sprites and pixeling art stuff.

Hey.

Congrats, Kaida! That's awesome :D

Wow, Poison, your school scheduling sounds wayyyy different than mine. We have two different days--they're called "blue" and "gold"--that have diff schedules (sometimes) and we just have blue and gold days every other day. Then, we have a block schedule, so there's only 4 classes a day, but they're for an hour and 20 mins. Normal academics are every day for one semester, AP's are every other day year round. We don't have these magical "free periods", though I do think I have a study second semester this year. Then again, might be wrong since schedules haven't been handed out. Ugh, I hope they found me a gym class, or graduating's gonna be an issue for me...

Hi! Congrats, Kaida (since I forgot to say it last time)! Looking forward to those pictures!

Yeah, the earthquake. I heard about it on the news. After living in Japan, small quakes don't really bother me (and that was BEFORE the big one hit earlier this year). Then again though, I suppose the US East coast doesn't make their buildings mostly earthquake proof like Japan, so it might be more of a problem. But anyway, I'm glad it didn't do any serious damage.

In other news, it's looking like the hurricane isn't really going to hit Florida (tomorrow and Saturday might have slightly stronger winds and a higher chance of rain but that's it). Even that should clear up by Sunday though, so I'm thinking that will be a good time to finally visit one of those water parks in Orlando. Too bad I don't have anyone to go with me...

Aw, you don't? That sucks. Well, I'm kinda on the opposite side of the US so I can't be of much help. Unless you want to go to the waterpark with my grandpa and his ladyfriend. But trust me, you don't.

I'm so bummed about the hurricane. Back in Jersey we had no waves this summer. For the most part the ocean was as flat as a lake. There may have been a few days where there were decent waves, but I probably was working during that time, cause every time I went to the beach it was flat. But now we're gonna get a hurricane, and that usually makes for some good waves, and I'm in New York at college. -_- Ah well, maybe there will be waves when I come home for labor day.

Hello!

I have block scheduling too, Saber. I don't really like it, do you?

Unless anybody lives in a state below Virginia, I'll probably be the first one hit by the hurricane. >.> This is gonna blow on Saturday, though I'm hopeful God will be with us all.

In other news, only one more day until the district's kickoff game tomorrow! Woo! I'm excited that I'll just be chilling with my friends there and watching some epic touchdowns. Today was a good day, so I'm hoping tomorrow will be a blast to finish off the school week.

Peace out!

Heso! Here in NJ, we're already getting wind and rain... but I don't think it's really Irene just yet. I hope Colly comes home soon... Even though we're most likely going to get hit harder that Ohio, I'd feel better if she were here and not 500 miles away...
"Irregardless" and "Over exaggerated" are NEVER CORRECT EVER because they are redundant
Regardless means "without regard", and adding "ir" on the front actually makes it a double negative; exaggerate means "to overstate" so you're literally saying "over overstate."
Example: I can not exaggerate the importance of this fact enough, regardless of how often people ignore it.

Hey.

It's raining right now here. Lots of thunder and lightning to boot!

Gah. Stupid reffing seminar on Saturday... honestly, I've been to this stupid seminar 3 times so far, I think I should be qualified to skip it >.<

In other news, I've been doing some more Fire Emblem hacking (although it sometimes makes unexpected weird things happen). I'm having fun trying to figure stuff out.... oh, and ignoring homework, that too!

Hi! I saw something on the news about Irene making the waves on Jacksonville Beach bigger than usual, but here at my place the weather is beautiful, if a bit breezy. Hope you guys further North don't get hit too hard.

Greetings!

That was a great way to end the school week. Already made lots of new friends and so far my grades look great. Only on thing stands in the way, and that's the football game!

Peace out!

Moi,

I think I'm a bit to far inland to get hit by Irene really hard. Last time I saw the weather forecast, it said that on Sunday we might get a few clouds, maybe a bit of rain...and that's it. The rest of that week will be sunny from the high pressure over the great lakes region. So, as Josiah said, hope everyone further east doesn't get hit especially hard.

From what I can tell, In my area (which is pretty close to the coast), we'll be getting wind and rain and lots of it... the wind isn't supposed to be too bad, no tornadoes or anything, but we've had a lot of rain lately and there's going to be bad floods. They've already evacuated LBI and they're working on the areas of lower elevation. Seems like my neighborhood's in the clear for now though.

Hey.

Soooo I have to go to my annual reffing seminar for hockey tomorrow... Tango was SUPPOSED to go with me, but then she realized she had another commitment, and now that I can drive myself, I have to go there all alone... I don't like being all alone :( Then, I get to sit through a 5 hour seminar about stuff I already know (I'm planning on bringing some homework to work on! Suckers, they'll think I'm taking notes on the seminar!), then drive over to a one hour skating session where I will skate for the first time in several months (not to mention have locker room issues since practically everyone else is going to be a guy), go over things I already know, and then drive home. Oh, and if the hurricane hits early, I'll have to drive through that. Yay.

So far, so good. Irene's not supposed to hit hard until later tonight, but... well, so far it seems like this whole thing was just a ploy to sell more batteries and bottled water.
