Hi! Tomorrow is the last day of Passover. We were planning a conregation hike, but with the way the weather has been that's looking pretty iffy so we might switch to board games or something instead.

Ehh...so....I think I'm going to tie a red string or something to my internet connection thingy. This is the third time this year I've lost it (by "it" I mean the device thingy), and the second time it's been lost for more then two days. >A<

So, I had a pretty good Easter~!...Although, I might make myself sick by eating so much candy. Me and my dad dyed eggs, and, Yes, I know that's something that little kids do, but I can get some very cool designs by using a white crayon to draw on it first then dying it...Or dying the egg first, drawing on the design, then dying it with another color...All in all, a good Easter!

Heso! I dyed eggs, too. And I hunted for the plastic ones filled with Candy. Why? because it's fun. Also, I have a little sister~ So we do these types of things as a "family" so that she can "participate" and stuff...

Because it's fun.

Moi,

Heh, I used to do the hunts for those little plastic eggs, but then last year I got a bit bored of it. I practically know all of the possible places my dad could hide them by now. Maybe next year I'll get up really early and hide my mom and dad's candy.

In other news right now: It's late, I'm tired, and going to bed. (Stupid candy, making it impossible to sleep)

Yeah, that probably should have happened by now, but... we just moved this year! So there were a whole bunch of new hiding spot available! It was a little disappointing, though. My mom is usually crazy about these things... who looks for Easter eggs in the Microwave? We'd still be finding eggs weeks later. But since she hadn't used all the good spots yet, she left them pretty much in the open. All camouflaged though...

Hi! Passover is finished so now it's time to get back to work... If I don't get a job offer in the very near future, I'll probably be moving back to Arizona in a week and a half or so as well, so there's that to prepare for.

Ah, we haven't hunted for Easter Eggs in I don't know how long. When we were younger we'd often spend Easter break in Florida at my Poppy's condo, which was kind of small. I remember hunting for easter eggs there every so often, but not every year. There was five of us not much room for hiding eggs :P
One year we were driving down on Easter, and when we woke up in a hotel we'd spent the night in there were five little easter baskets by the wall. ;-)
We painted easter eggs almost every year though.

Oh, I'm sure you'll find a job Josiah. But good luck, just in case :D.

Hi! Note that I said the near future. If I don't find one right away, I'll be spending the summer in Arizona auditing a couple of classes (because it's free for alumni), continuing the job hunt, looking for a publisher for my novels, and working on Car Washer and a new indie game project of mine (which I should be able to finish by the end of the summer if I'm not working). Which wouldn't be a bad way to pass some time.

Hey.

We had an Easter Egg hunt this year, too! First one I've gone on in a couple years. When I was little, we used to have them at my grandpa's house, so there's still plenty good places to hide here... plus, my dad hides 'em outside, so there's LOTS of room.

Well... been very stressed latley because of AP tests coming up in a week (well, my nearest test is a week and a half) as well as the fact that I fear my friend is still just a step away from being suicidal again. He's on antidepressants, and he might be seeing a therapist (I'm pretty sure he's supposed to), but all the same... every time I talk to him I have to phrase everything perfectly because I'm so worried I'll say the wrong thing and he'll do something stupid.

Despite all that, though... my life is going surprisingly well! Maybe it's because my own depression seems to have lifted, at least for the time being, for one reason or another. Other than that one friend, my social life with my friends has just been going much better... issues were resolved, and I actually feel like I'm wanted again. I just... really hope for the best for that one friend, though, and I'm doing everything I can.

Oh, and, to end on a positive note, I got a letter today saying that... well, it's kind of vauge... but I might get the National Merit Scholarship? The letter is basically like... you did good on your PSAT/NMSQT... now you're in a select group and they need to do more stuff and you MIGHT get the scolarship. Which, I doubt, because I really didn't do all that well on my PSATs compared to several of my friends. But, hey, nice to be commended :)

Moi,

I'm up late again, looking for some good referance pictures to draw General Grievous, and am only wearing one shoe!

....Yeah, I probably should explain....

I'm up late because I'm still switching back to normal school bedtime hours, after spring break and all, and all that chocolate I ate probably has something to do with it as well.

I've recently been trying to draw some of my favorite characters from Star Wars. I've got the Jawas and Anakin Skywalker down pretty well, but I'm still working on Jar Jar, Boba Fett and General Grievous. (What an interesting collection of favorite I have!) [If anyone has/finds/has drawn some good pictures of Grievous, I'd be grateful to see them. lots of the pictures I've seen are either fan-made, way to small to get actual detail, or from that Clone Wars cartoon.]

Okay, about the one shoe thing, I have a really hard time drawing most types of clothing. Although I am getting better, my worst enemy of the clothing family is shoes of any type. So, I was drawing one of my characters, and I think I might have snapped. I drew his shoes, got pretty pissed off at how they turned out, erased them, took off my own shoe, slammed it down on the table I was at, and, literally, stared at it for at least two minutes, studying it's details.
Yeah, after that, I redrew the shoes, and, low-and-behold, they turned out not to bad! Now, all I need to learn how to draw (for some of my drawings I'm thinking of making soon) is robotic-looking arms, more realistic looking blood, and, well, the characters I listed above.

So, yeah. In other news: It's late, and I'm getting caught up in reading about General Grievous's past.

Hi! Anyone notice that all the "real" people in reality shows seem to be getting replaced by celebrities these days? Not that I really watch reality shows, so I don't care much. But doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose?

Bad news guys... I killed mah computerbox.

A few days ago I started up my PC, only for the screen to show a message saying that it had not booted properly and that it had to "repair". After a few minutes it returned to normal, but in a moment of incredible stupidity I decided to open up the computer to see if anything was unplugged... while it was still running.

As you may have predicted, this was a very bad idea. I grabbed an unplugged wire inside of the box and attempted to plug it into what turned out to be an ordinary section of motherboard.

Zap. One spark later and my PC is a vegetable. It can still run, but nothing happens when it does. No signal, nothing. And now I need to figure out exactly what is broken and possibly spend hundreds of dollars replacing it.

I bloody hate me.

Hi! From the sound of it, you probably shorted out the motherboard. In which case, you might be better off getting a new computer...

Moi,

Well, I'm no computer expert Doodle, but it sounds like Josiah is right. I think, for now, I would just consider how much it is to repair it (If it can be repaired) compared to getting a new computer, and see which is cheaper.

Speaking of computers, my dad says me and him might be getting some more memory for ours. My dad's computer really needs it. It...is...so...friggin'...slooow...and I should get some more for mine, since mine is not a fast as it was.

Also, I might want to speak to someone there about this stupid problem I've had for the past month or so. I've been trying, to no avail, to get the newest version of Adobe Flash Player to work on my computer. From what I saw on the Adobe website, when the new version came out, lots of people were having problems. I've done everything I could, but, nope. Still not working. I've basically been without youtube, and all other video veiwing things on the internet, for around a month. I swear it's making me crazy. Whenever I see a youtube video someone put on Facebook or other places, I want to punch my moniter. Gah....Also, the only computers I can watch videos on are my mom's laptop, which she barely lets me use, and my dad's computer, which is so slow, I don't really even try it anymore.

Anyway, in other news: Math homework and dinner in a bit.

Heso! Well, it's not all about which is cheaper, per se... functionality has to be considered as well. Like, even if he gets it repaired, what if it doesn't work as well as it used to? If it keeps crashing or breaks down completely after a year or two, it's still better to get a new computer completely, since that would inevitably happen soon no matter what. Budget is important, but if the computer doesn't do what it's supposed to, there's really no point. It would be best to do the research first.
