Round 4: The Village of Shadows

[Dark Gentleman]

D.G. walked along at a slow and steady pace and kept an eye out for anything suspicious. "Wow, this whole place is amazing..." He said to himself as he admired the scenery.

As D.G. continued to walk, he looked at the houses around him. While none were huge, they were all a moderate size and build in what looked something like an old European style. The streets weren't crowded, but there were a moderate amount of men and women walking about, as well as numerous children running and playing in the street. There was a group of eight or so people standing in a tight clump on one of the street corners, but other than them, everyone seemed to be going happily about their daily lives.

"Hmmm... I wonder what they're doing?" D.G. said to himself as he walked over to the small group.

The group was talking among themselves. They seemd to be having a disagreement about something though their voices were too low for D.G. to make out. He thought he could probably listen in if he got a bit closer, but if he did that they'd probably notice what he was doing.

[Dark Gentleman]

"If they notice me they might turn hostile, but even if they do I can just use my super speed to get away..." D.G. thought to himself as he got a little closer.

[Winters Rage]

"Kako? Is that you?" Chris called out as he stepped out from behind the tree and started walking toward the group. "Oh, thank goodness I found someone. I knew that walking around in the forest was just cliche enough to work." Chris said, as he went on about something about cliche's.

D.G. edged a bit closer.

"Are you sure it was ok to leave them there in the forest?" one of the people asked.

"It should be. They probably won't get free anytime soon and, even if they do, they only had that one clue."

"Forget about them. We need to focus on where to search next."

((They haven't noticed D.G. yet. Are you going to keep listening or do something else?))

[Dark Gentleman]

D.G. kept listening.

[Josiah]

D.G.
"We should take a closer look at the center of the village." one of the people said. "It's too obvious a spot for the portal itself, but there has to be a clue there."

"And doesn't this village have some really famous store... Oh, what was it called?"

"Oh yeah, some clothing place, right? I think it was-"

"Hey, you!" one of them spots D.G. "It's not nice to eavesdrop."

[Dark Gentleman]

"No, its not... Nor is it nice to leave people trapped alone in a forest." D.G. said with a smile. "Now, I'm not in a great mood, so why don't you just answer my questions? First, who did you leave trapped in the forest and where is it? Secondly, where is that store you mentioned? If you do as I ask I'll leave you alone."

[Josiah]

D.G.
"Look kid. I don't know if you're on one of the other teams if you're just really nosy, but you're in no position to be making demands. If you haven't noticed, you're the one who's outnumbered."

[Dark Gentleman]

"Thats true..." D.G. said as his smile widened a bit. "But you are the ones..." D.G. uses his super speed to move behind the alien talking to him and leaned in close to whisper into his ear. "...Who are outmatched."

(Can we see him?)


"Chris!" I yell and run over to him giving him a friendly hug. "Its so good to see another team mate!" I step back. "Have you seen some weird looking people around?" I ask still thinking about the people that took our clue.

((To answer Kako's question, he came out of hiding so yes, you can see him.))

((What are doing immediately after whispering to him? Staying put? Moving right away? Doing something else?))

(As soon as he turns around to look at or attack me I move back to where I was standing before.)

"None of you have a chance against me..." D.G. taunted, still smiling. "Now, I won't ask again, answer my questions or face the consequences." He said in a more intimidating tone.
